I know casserole carriers are big over there (or i presume they are since ive seen quite a lot of people mention them) and mug rugs and placemats but does anyone make anything else like food wraps, lunch bags or anything else, and do you have a favourite pattern :-) Im trying to be more eco friendly and trying to use less plastic

Lots of love

I don't make anything else lol.  I have seen there are a number of free patterns for lunch bags, insulated bags but since I struggle just making a tote bag I haven't attempted it.

I make a lot of pullover baby bibs made out of a fingertip towel.  I like to embroider or add an applique design to the front.

I also like to make aprons although I do not use them.

I love placemats and cloth napkins so I have many of those.

I have been making several bowl cozys.  Love them with a hot bowl of soup.

I have been re-purposing my scraps into dog beds.  I use fat quarters I probably won't do anything with or donated fabric to make the beds - staying with the 18 x 22 size.  I started having the lqs save up scraps for me as I was only getting 1, maybe 2 a month.   Now I am getting 4 or 5 done a month for a local shelter.

Absolutely!!!  These are fun to make, quick, and easy.  I also make personalized napkins for us and for our family. They wash up easily. I make kitchen towels that are simple and washable.  I have an embroidery machine so I might personalize them, too, for me and for our family members.

Other than table runners, I really don't make any of these. Although one day I want to make some bowl covers, I just haven't done it yet. But, I do like to make bags of all sorts..purses, totes, sewing bags.

Keep a smile in your heart :) Dorian

I make bowl holders, for hot and cold food, double ended oven mitts as I like them better than oven mits, pot holders, placemats for gifts and the elderly, bags, coin purses, zipper purses.. Anything when needed really.
Have a nice day.........JO

Frances, schlep bags work well for shopping bags and carry alls.  I've made them with fabric and heavy canvas like fabric.

I make bags - I love the patterns from Dog Under My Desk.  She also has a lunch bag pattern, though I have not made one.  I also make costumes - sometimes for the local theater groups, some times just for family.

The way to get started is to quit talking and start doing.

I made bags out of 'animal feed bags'. Mona showed how at a retreat one time. I love using them as they stand up on their own.. plus all the other things people have mentioned..

Looking for something to make everyone this Christmas.........

I have not yet made any food wraps using BEE's wax ( and of course I have loads) but they seem to be all the rage.   Not sure how they work.
