HI EVERYONE

I pulled fabric today to do the Little Miss Sawtooth QAL hosted by Melanie of Southern Charm Quilts. It is a free QAL that uses tons of scraps, if you want to, or is the perfect way to slice and dice a precious fat quarter stack you've been hanging on to.

I wanted to post here to see if anyone wanted to join me!

Here are all the details: Little Miss Sawtooth QAL

Thanks for the tip Amanda. I saved her page to my favorites and I am already starting to think of which fabrics I can use. Sew bright and cheery.

I saved it too.  I am going to see if I can fit it in.

Yay!! I’m usingSweet Violet fat quarters. Currently trying to do my color sheet but Melanie is always so carefree and scrappy but I can’t let my brain let go, I’m always trying to “tidy up.”

I’m doing this on my phone so I can’t figure out how to include a pic from the web. thinking

I like the scrappy effect so I ordered some Lori Holt fabrics for the backgrounds. I think I have a fat quarter stack of hers as well so that will be fun and bright.

Thanks for sharing.

I like this one and I've signed up to receive the reminders but I'm not sure I'll have the time to join.  Thinking....

Good to see you, Amanda! Thanks for the teaser. I'm signed up now. I hope you'll be posting reminders each time a new step is posted.

I just visited Thousands of Bolts for "low volume" background fabrics, as she calls them. Found a few. 😄😋😜

Now to decide on my color scheme. Those prints I will pull from my stash.

What did you decide, GloBug? Its only one step every two weeks!

Hi Amanda!  I'm still on the fence...    I'll visit my stash and see what I can come up with.  This QAL looks so doable with the steps being given every 2 weeks. Thinking....thinking....thinking.....

It would be fun to do a QAL with you and the other ladies who might be doing this one . . . so I'm really leaning on participating.  I'll post my decision tonight or tomorrow!! Thanks for asking me!!

EDIT:  Okay, I'm in!   I found a FQ Bundle in my stash from probably over 10 years ago??  It's called Amma's Garden by Gudrun Erla.  It's cute, kinda whimsical florals and very colorful...which I like.  I had to find some light TOT's to add for the background fabrics and I was happy to find some in my stash that matched pretty well with the overall fabric line.

I am also in the Little Miss Sawtooth quilt along. This is my second of Melanie’s quilt alongs. I hope everyone enjoys her patterns as much as I do.

I haven't started any cutting yet.  I babysit my grandson full time while his mommy teaches 4th grade.  Sewing time is very limited and usually done during the weekends as I'm pooped during the week after Calvin goes home with his parents and cooking up dinner for the hubster and I.

I'll probably be playing catch up at the beginning (out of town this coming weekend) but I'm in for this QAL and I'll be posting pictures when I have something to share.
