Today Leah is having surgery...

Her mom, Kelly, is keeping me updated...

So I will post here for those who are wondering about her.  Sounds like she wil have a 72 hour hospital stay after surgery.

Here is updates:

0730 Just took Leah back..should be 2 hours before we know anything.

1015 Leah is out of surgery and in recovery. DR said all went well.  Kelly should get to see her in a few hours after Leah is settled into her room.

1150 Leah is in her room...Kelly says she is awake, a little uncomfortable but so far so good!

I'm so relieved to hear she's doing well, and I'm glad that we have a "news release" system in place.  Thanks, Donna!

Glad to hear that Leah is doing well post-op. Remember to deep breath & cough (DB&C) woohoo to expand the lung bases and prevent pneumonia

She’s doing well. Uncomfortable and a bit nauseous. That’s to be expected. After her grogginess wears off I’m sure you’ll all hear from her.
Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes.

Hi all! thank you for all your love today. I am doing ok, I am still nauseous and have heartburn, I now have a migraine but the pain from the surgery is minimal.  I am able to get up and walk with no problem.  Thank you, donna, for your help!  I will check back in later.

Leah, Glad to hear it went well and are able to walk around without a problem.  They should bring you some ginger tea.  Will help with the nausea and the migraine.  Take it easy - this is a 72 hr opportunity to get waited on .

OMG. I haven't been online in a few days and missed this news. So glad to hear Leah is out of surgery and doing okay. Never fun. Take it easy, Leah. Be gentle on yourself. Hugs to you and your family. Thanks, Donna, for letting us know.
