Sheila, here's a picture of my 2016 BOM - Applique border is finished and is sewn on ... my machine applique abilities leave a LOT to be desired...it's the first time I tried it.    Ignore the pink floral you see around the top I am posting.  My design wall is full and I had to hang it here.  It all needs a good pressing.

Thank you, Bonita.  I have been afraid to make them, but am glad that's done.  Working on the Modified Piano Key border now.

Ahhhhhhhhhh, my 2016 BOM quilt top is almost complete.  Here's a picture of the top with the piano key borders added.  112 keys snowballed on two corners sewn together and all four borders sewn on.  Took half of yesterday and all of today, but they're on.  I love it.  I only have two more borders, one narrow yellow and one wide floral to make the top complete.  This is going to be a pretty quilt.

My 2019 UFO challenge is complete.  I finished the Craftsy Summer 2016 Quilt top today by adding two borders to it.  It's rather large, and I think it is sew pretty.  A couple of challenges for me on this one, but I got through it.  One day I hope to get it sandwiched and quilted.  lol

What a beauty of a quilt Sharon.  And it taught you new skills.  A true win - win.  Wonderful finish.

The fabrics are great, too. Did you choose them or was it a kit?

Nancy, this was a kit...from Craftsy...in 2016.  The fabrics are all thimbleberries (one of my VERY favorites) from RJR, and I probably have enough of the various fabrics left to make a small quilt.  They were very generous.  I also got free lifetime online classes  on how to make this quilt with the purchase of the kit.

Made some progress the last three days. Just need to add the borders, already cut not sewn together yet. Going to use fleese for the backing, batting and backing is just to heavy down her. Fleese makes it soft and cuddly for DGD.

Bonita, I am sew loving your Forest Friends quilt.  What an adorable quilt.  I think the fleece backing will be perfect and definitely cuddly for your granddaughter.

A lot of time and effort has gone into that Fancy Forest, but what a lovely keepsake for your granddaughter, Bonita!

I got my Mineral Matrix BOM back from the long armer last week and yesterday and today I worked on getting the binding made and on the quilt.
