 Vintage Christmas

Order the book if you don't already have it!!

Below are 2 different 30s Christmas lines.   The row in the middle is the cozy christmas line used in making the original quilt.   The outer rows are Vintage Holiday, also from Moda.

I like most of the Vintage Holiday for my quilt, but for the swap,  there are some f4s (not shown) that seemed a bit too "LIME"  green but I will use them in a separate project.  :)

I think this is her new book, and yes those fabrics I was thinking about getting rid of would likely work.  If I were to make it I would tell myself its to help me get use to using small pieces of fabric.. assuming the piecing is like the Vintage Farm Girl :D

I have this new book and it's as delightful as Farm Girl Vintage.  The blocks come both 6 and 12 inch.  The whole book just makes you smile.  I'm planning some projects for next year. Would be interested in a swap if one was offered.

GG her patterns are so cute I can see why they speak to you!  I joined Stitchen Heaven FGV BOM that starts now.  My fabric should be in my mail box today.  Of course, my book is at my house so I'll have to wait a bit to start.  I think someone above just said, she has enough projects going so we'll let this one be later.  lol

I found bundle on Etsy but I don't know if there are any more available.  Just over $100 with shipping.

FYI ~ Just found out that the fabric "Vintage Christmas" by Lori Holt has not yet been released.  I guess that's why it's so hard to find.  Just the book is out.  So if you're willing to wait until Jan/Feb you should be able to get it.  I got a pre-order on Etsy.  So there's still time to get the collection.

Mimi, Lori Holt has been doing a "Vintage Christmas" quilt-along on her website (Bee in My Bonnet) for a while now, and she's been using her "Cozy Christmas" fabric that was released last year.

I checked the Riley Blake website, and it said the fabric was re-released in September, so it should be available. Here's one site that carries it: Pine Needles

Here's the link to the Farm Girl Vintage swap we did if anyone would like to run a Christmas swap in a similar way.

Thanks Nancy but I've ordered Vintage Christmas and can wait until it's ready to be shipped.  I think I have enough projects to keep me busy until then.

I looked high and low and opted for the VINTAGE CHRISTMAS line. This morning I ordered a small bundle of 10 Cozy C f4s and will see how well they blend with Vintage.  :D

I feel it'll look great with this pattern.  Good luck finding the fabrics that speak to you.  :)

Mimi - could you please post where you ordered your fabric from.  I can not find the Vintage Christmas anywhere.

Thanks,

Laura
