Blues, Browns & Creams BLOCK LOTTO!!!

PLEASE note, the artwork above does not show any blocks with BROWNS but they are welcome in your blocks.   ALSO,  any pattern using more than one color fabric with your cream is best.   Think scrappy!!!  This way the blocks will blend better.  It would be great if the blues were used a bit more than browns.

If your block is not applique, it must have 14 or more pieces.

If your block IS applique, you can not use fusable products and the edges must be turned under.  ( no satin stitch this time )

Shoot for TRUE blues,  try to stay clear of bluish fabs like teals or blurples.

YOU pick the pattern you want to make and tell it here ( so we don't get too many rail fence blocks )

For each block you send in ( you may send up to 3 different patterns)  Your name will go into a hat where WINNERS will be drawn.   If the post goes over 24, it will be divided by 2 winners and if we go over 40 blocks, it will be divided amongst 3 winners.    Until we get 30 blocks on the chart, we will not accept duplicate patterns.

To play, get your prewashed, quilt shop quality fabrics out and make  some 12.5" blocks.  For each block you send in, please send ONE forever stamp.   So 3 blocks, send 3 stamps.

Now find a pattern or 3 and post below with the name so I can put it on the chart.  PLEASE add a link if it is not a traditional pattern and please, please only claim a pattern if you are certain you will play.  I will PM each of you with my mailing addy after you post with a pattern.

The lotto is open TODAY..  the sign ups close  Nov 1st..  Your blocks must be in the mail by Nov 19th.

Tell all your friends.  New members are most welcome to join in the fun.

Think of all the designs you can make with these blocks.

I'll pick 1 now and probably 2 more after checking my fabrics. I'll do the Antique Tile ( 2nd row, no. 3).

PM on the way.

Sorry. Another question: Do we have to pick from those showing? I saw a few I like on Quilter's Cache.

gg added : No mam, pick a pattern and give us the name and we'll add it.

I would like to add in a block or two for this.  My first one is called Classic Blue.  Do I use blue and brown in the same block?

I will get back to you on any other that I choose.

Great patterns ladies!!!

When possible, use some browns in your block.   If it's a 2 fabric block, stick with blue and cream.  :D

Or find a nice blue print with brown spots, flowers or flecks in it.

I hope to pull some fabrics today and get them washed and pressed.

If you mix cotton and batik in the same block it would be fine. I think all batik might stand out a bit I think
