Hey you quilters and members.  Clear your calendars:  There is something new on the horizon.  No, it is not the Mystery Quilt I promised (that comes a little later).  But it is just as good.  Anyone but hostesses can try to guess what it will be.  Maybe, or maybe not, like "MasterChef", if you guess you might, or might not, have an advantage.

Who will guess first?????

Clue:  It's the next swap

Is it a swap of blocks made with fruit and veggie fabric? Just wondering because my collection of fabric is growing......

Not really but you might be able to use that fabric for the correct swap partner.

Color challenge? I'm quilting one today from another group. The leader sent paint chips and we sewed anything for ourself. Earlier she had us use the colors in a common supermarket item container. I had a Squirt cola bottle. We could add 2-3 colors but it mostly the challenge colors. It's hard to use combinations we seldom use. I had to buy mine this time.

We have to use food named precuts, ie layer cakes, jelly rolls, honeybuns, etc?

Hmmm.. trying to come up with something. Think my mind is spent and I have to wait to see what is on the horizon.

"Master chef"? We're to use ordinary, traditional items to make something unique. We have. Short time frame. Then we form teams? Perhaps a round robin with all of us starting the center the same and pass to our group?

Went back and looked at some of the "old" swaps "before my time" and saw something interesting. What about a 3 round swap like Pumpkin Patch in 2008, but maybe a Christmas theme.  My guess.

What a great idea for 2019 -- but not the next swap.
