Let’s see

1. I have had my longarm for nearly two years now and have yet to put a quilt on it.

2. I recently gave my 30day notice at work and soon I will be at home more often.

3. My dad taught me to repair my own cars and when I took the transmission out do to neglect, as punishment he made me change the tranny myself.

1- True - All I have had time for and/or the guts to do is play on the long arm. However, now hopefully I will have

2- True - I did give my 30 day notice. I did plan on finding a part-time fun job. They talked me into staying at reduced hours. They offered a 3 or 4 day work week. I did go with a 4 day week. Hopefully I will have a little more time to run the longarm now:). Probably should have gone with a 3 day week.

3- Lie - my dad did teach me to fix my own car and he did say that I should have to repair it my self. He did not make me do it though. He did it, I did have to help. The whole time we were working on it, he kept saying “Laura, Laura, Laura I taught you better than this. Do you know how expensive this is?” By time we were done I felt sooooo bad. I still hear his voice saying that.

Judy T you win. Tell us your lies.

Here goes.

1. Ages 52 my husband and I both earned black belts in Tae Kwon Do. I have pictures to prove it.

2. Seeing a nice looking man go into a public bathroom I lurked outside and smiled at him when he came out. We were married 18 months later.

3. As a kid I was fascinated with all creatures. I talked my dad into building a cage for a particularly large garter snake I found and was carrying around with me. Today I really hate snakes.

I am still excited:). I have done several sheets and scrap fabric. Just haven’t put a quilt on yet:). I wanted to be sure I had time to do it, there is a learning curve for sure.

I'll say #2, though this one is probably true.

The way to get started is to quit talking and start doing.

1. This is the lie. We did take Tae Kwon Do but I only reached a brown belt.

2. Very true. It was a public dance. I’d noticed a shy pleasant looking man. When he went out to the restroom, I followed and waited. When I smiled at him he stopped and that’s all it took to get my hooks in him.

3. So true. I was fascinated with anything that walked, crawled or flew. Snakes were especially enticing as my older brother and his friends would run if I chased them with a snake.

Leslie, you’re up next.

Leslie, HOW interesting.

HMMM.I say #1 is a lie...though for some reason I think I'm wrong...Let's see.  I had a teacher in school who had pure white hair since the age of 18, so your number 2 could certainly be true.  Your number 3...well that was a question for me too, but I decided to go with#1

I am going to take #2 since no one else will bite on this.

If I win - someone from the Iowa retreat has to lie to us. I am going to throw some names in a hat and have hubby pull one out. So be ready
