I think 3 is probably true, but I'll call dibs on it just the same.

1.  When my husband was a Men's International Gymnastic Judge, I once traveled with him to the 1992 Summer Olympic Games held in Barcelona, Spain. This is the LIE!!  It's true that he was an International Gymnastics Judge but I never got to travel with him to any of the gymnastic meets he judged which included the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona.

2.  In high school, I once held the 3200 Meter Track record for 2 years straight. TRUE.  I held this honor for my junior and senior year of high school.

3.  Although we did attend the same high school, I officially met my husband when I was 16 years old at Disneyland. TRUE.

Okay Mimi, you're up...tell us 2 truths and 1 lie.

P.S.  Judy, I laughed out loud at "Globular"!!!

What an interesting occupation Glo! So you have been around the gymnastics set, were you a gymnast yourself at one time?

Keep a smile in your heart :) Dorian

Good morning, everyone!  Hope you plan to do some sewing today.  Here's the scoop:

#1.  While in college I played goalie on the JV lacrosse squad.  My nickname was "Spider."

#2.  While investigating our geneology, our daughter discovered that we lived in the same block as my husband's great great grandparents.

#3.  In my youth, I attended both the Woodstock Festival in 1969 and the Summer Jam at Watkins Glen in 1973.

My heart is fed with needle and thread.

I’ll say #1 is the lie. Probably played lacrosse but not goalie or the nickname was different.

#1.  While in college I played goalie on the JV lacrosse squad.  My nickname was "Spider."  This is absolutely true.  I played goalie in high school.  I think it may have been b/c I wasn't very fast and could fill up the entire goal with my height.  We won the league championship my senior year.  I only played one season in college.

#2.  While investigating our geneology, our daughter discovered that we lived in the same block as my husband's great great grandparents.                                                              This is also true.  We never realized we had purchased a house on the same street where Dave's ancestors had live at the turn of the last century until she looked into our geneology during a high school project.

#3.  In my youth, I attended both the Woodstock Festival in 1969 and the Summer Jam at Watkins Glen in 1973.                                                                                                 This is a lie.  I did attend Watkins Glen to see the Alman Brothers Band and the Greatful Dead and many others.  It was the summer I got married.  But I was still in high school the summer of Woodstock and wanted to go but knew my parents would probably disown me if I did.

So Judy T it's your turn to give us a peek into your life.

Well, goodness let's see. Two truths and a lie. I'd have it easier if it were the other way around.

1. I played Blackjack in Las Vegas with Glen Campbell.

2. When I was in high school, my parents were called into the counselors office and told I could skip my senior year and go directly to college on a full scholarship. They refused the offer so I could stay in school and graduate with my friends.

3. For nearly a week I backpacked a section of the Pacific Crest Trail and had a close encounter with a mama bear and her cub.

I pick number 3 as the lie. Though it would be magic to hike some pf the PCT. I am guessing you did not have a close bear encounter.

This game is so much fun!  I'm learning so much about my quilting friends!

The way to get started is to quit talking and start doing.

1. Yep, true. Playing blackjack while my friends off playing slots. Someone sat down beside me and made a comment to me about beating the dealer. It was Glen Campbell. We chatted for a couple hands. He lost and headed into the lounge. That’s when I saw the poster that he was appearing. He was so nice, even put a hand on my shoulder and wished me luck.
2. Oh Lord, this is such a lie. Scholorship? Early college? Didn’t happen.
3. True. Long story. But the 4th morning on the trail with friends in 1988, I needed alone time. So hit the trail early before everyone else saying I’d meet them at a trail junction 2 miles out. I blissfully hiked the trail, enjoying the solitude and stopped at the meeting place. A few minutes later a hiker came nearly out of breath. He’d seen my footprints in the wet trail. Then a set of bear prints, large and small came off the hill and were over mine. He was terrified what he would find. He said that mama and cub were behind me for over a mile before veering off to the river. Glad I didn’t know!

Laura, you’re up!

Let’s see

1. I have had my longarm for nearly two years now and have yet to put a quilt on it.

2. I recently gave my 30day notice at work and soon I will be at home more often.

3. My dad taught me to repair my own cars and when I took the transmission out do to neglect, as punishment he made me change the tranny myself.
