So a friend calls and says she's coming to your sewing room tomorrow and wants to help you...  for whatever reason you have a chance of 8 hours help... what might you ask her to help you with ??

I'd ask her to help me organize and purge...she wouldn't have any "connections" to things and it would make it easier!

Then we reward ourselves with wine and enjoy the "view"!

I’d send her out to do my errands and shopping, I don’t like others touching stuff in my sewing area. I know where everything is!

OhMy, my first thought is: Ask me what are my LT goals for quilting, what do I REALLY want to focus on now, and help me PURGE anything/everything that doesn't fit my thoughts.!  I know I want to and need to purge, but then I get a new pattern or fantastic quilt fabric sale in email, or I visit a LQS, or I see a project someone I know has done (and I WANT it)..and I'm LOST.  I want someone who will KNOW (Johnny Carson, The Great Houdini)  what I will NEVER accomplish and get me better organized and "lighter".  I have patterns, fabrics, and ideas galore....Have you got someone who can do this for me?

I would love a helper for 8 hours! Let's see..... sandwiching, quilting, arranging ufo blocks, preparing binding, more sandwiching and quilting. Oh, the things we could do!

Definitely purge. I’m tired of storing so much stuff.

I want to change mine.  I have decided what I really want is someone to press and trim as well and just keep me company.  Sometimes I just want an Adult to talk to the loves quilting and crafts so many of my friends dont.

All great answers!!!   Mom used to come help from time to time when she lived across the street from me and when she did my progress seemed to FLY.

Right now like many of you, I see the need for some serious organization and decluttering.  This week I got one shelf sorted and refolded in one closet and emptied one bookcase unit that was in a closet.  Putting some bolts in another area that wasn't full, and moving other pieces of fabric to a retreat bag for the freebie tables or other locations.   Closet has more space and looks less cluttered.

I still have much much to do but am motivated to just take on one area at a time and take some before and after pics.   Right now I walk in my sewing room and instantly have mixed emotions... YAY it better and UGH it needs more work...

Hope a pal visits you and helps you.  :D

I would want someone to resort/organize and then honestly take out items that I know I will never use and take it away.  I am seriously at the point that I want to find a group that sews for charities and just give them about 5 or 6 totes of "stuff".  There are times when I go into the storage area where my sewing stuff is and I become seriously overwhelmed.

It was fun when I was collecting all of this for my "retirement" when I was not going to be able to afford to buy all the time.  Now when I look at it, I only see all the stuff that "needs" to get done.

What I would really like to have my friends do is come over and go through the stuff and find 3 or 4 (or more) kits/fabric collections that they would really like and just take them!!  So who is the first of you to come down for a visit?

My sewing machine is calling me and today I hope to listen! Sally

Sally, if I had room for any more STUFF I'd come up to see you. But I have no more room in this tiny room every closet and flat service is piled high.

I could use someone to come over and quilt a couple of quilts for me.

Oh Sally I would love to go visit your stash... Oh I mean YOU!

I think all of you would have beautiful treasures to search through.
