Florence, I love your block.  Dawn, love the postage stamp quilt.  I got into my scrap drawer and found pieces big enough to cut into the 3.5 inch strips for the half square triangles and then cut a bunch of 2 inch strips for the 4 patches.  I had several 3.5 inch half square triangles sewn already and added them to the project box.

Great block Florence. Looks like you're off to a good start Sheila. I have another 16 inch block done and I like this one better.

Bonita, Florence and Sheila. I do love the fabrics you are all using. If I get my mega quilt quilted soon, I might jump in on this. I just gave two totes of scraps to Goodwill but have plenty more for this project.

I think I can manage this Bonnie Hunter.  I'll probably be working with 1 1/2 inch squares.  I have some L/E's done; just have to find my squares and start working on some other quilts.  This will be great for when I do charity quilts.

I have a quilt to finish quilting, then have to cut some fabrics into useable pieces, and I will get a start on this. Golly, I have so many pieces of fabric!!!

I got my AccuQuilt GoBaby out today and am cutting 5 inch squares...also found several charm packs I am dividing into light/darks.  Also began cutting some 2 1/2 inch squares from leftover JRs and other strips.  I'm thinking doesn't matter pure white, cream, tan, as long as all lights???

The quilt I am working on now has  A LOT of 'Y' seams, so it's a good one for doing up some leader/enders .

9 blocks will make a great quilt!

Dorian - yes, y seams = lots of leader ender time.  I made up enough to at least lay out a block.  As I have been working on projects, I have been cutting 2 inch strips and 3.5 strips from my leftovers.  I need way more color variety for these blocks.  I have been using the 1/2 square triangles for On Ringo Lake for my leader/ender.  I am almost done with the browns.  I throw some of these in occasionally as well.  The box is growing!!

Remember, Even if you make too many 4 patches and/or half square triangles, you can always stash the extra for the next project!

Haven't posted on here for a while, but I am working on these, too.  I have a few HSTs and a few 4 patches put together.  Lots of both to put together yet. About time for me to put a block together.  Today might be that time.

I have 3 16 inch blocks made and like Sharon have a lot of 4 patch and hst ready to go . Enough to make about 4 or 5 blocks. I really have no plans to make a top from these yet so will just keep on making them as I go.

Looking forward to seeing yours Florence.

Bonita, I don't really don't have any plans yet, either, but want to have some Orphan Blocks, in case I get the notion to put a top together.  For me it was just a matter of getting disciplined to begin and end with something to put in the box.  I DO like the quilt BH is making, though.  NEVER have been a scrappy quilt girl, but the more I see of them, the more I like them.

I've never done a leader/ender challenge, but I've got a ton of "bonus HSTs" from the quilt I'm working on right now, and I love the idea of using them to make another quilt. I don't know how big they'll end up, but I've got tons.

I'd love to see anyone's progress on this challenge!

Well, I've fallen off the wagon....OK gotta get back on.  The bins with the fabrics for L and Es is still right on the floor by my machine....Just have to remember.

Florence, I think 9 blocks are great!
Sharon, there is no bus! You work on these as you go. I have been using my bear paw triangles and ORL step 2 for my leader ender. I do grab some of the triangles I have cut and use those in between.
No worries! It is not a race, thus, leader ender!

Does anyone have a picture of 4 blocks placed together?  Would love to see it.

I would love to see it too, if anyone has one done.

I purchased some 4patch off the trading post and had a project in mind. This looks interesting, so may change my mind.

Here are my 9 blocks, not sewn together and not necessarily in the order they will be sewn together.
