Here is my progress, have a feeling unless I do a narrow border i will have to go to LQS.  I realize some blocks would have been better placed in different spots, but I like it as it is. :)

Chelle, I really like it!  It almost looks three dimesional.

I have four of the Pat Sloan Let's Go Camping blocks completed and have the 5th one cut out.  Will get that together today and hopefully get 6th one done.

For my third July UFO Challenge, I was able to finish numbers six through ten blocks today.  Can't wait to see what the next three blocks will be.  I have an idea of how I want to finish it.  Guess I have to wait until October, unless I want to make and finish with three blocks of my choice.  That could happen. :)

Or Not

I have finished the second quilt for #2. It was orignially planned to be larger but I changed things about so often that I finally ended up with two small quilts. I have changed the remaining UFOs to the point that they are just parts of the original. My desire to quilt is really poweing down. Sometimes a change is needed.

I was able to get the borders on the top before I went out of town.  I have to see what the schedule is this week for working on the school, but would love to get started on quilting.

I am thinking I will have Max pick Augusts number this week, so that those going to Chicken Creek retreat can decide if they want to take the months project with them.

I have a finish, and it was even my #3!  It finished at about 60x60 and was made over a16 year period!

This was made from 1 1/2" squares, many of them from my great aunt. I visited her when I was 13 and she showed me all of her gorgeous quilts. From then on, I wanted to make quilts like that!

She was a believer in using all the fabric! When she died, her daughter sent me this box of squares, bits and pieces from very old to 90's era. I started to add my own, so the box is still full, plus I've added another box of my own! I swear when I started putting them together they had babies!!

LaDawn, love the story and the quilt. 16 years now that's a commitment.

Ellie and I ran to a fabric store to get her fabrics for an apron to sew for 4 H county fair. It’s her first year. I also got her to pick out minky for her bookcase quilt so I can finish at least the top this month. I have a few embroidery and appliqué blocks to make, then I can finish the rows.

I finished three July UFO projects this month: Spring has Sprung Irish Chain quilt (sewed the blocks together and sandwiched and quilted), Bar Code quilt (sandwiched and quilted), and Pat Sloan's Let's Go Camping (all 10 blocks completed to date).  Moving on to August #4 UFO, Jann's MQ, would like to get it sandwiched and quilted.  I'm also finishing up a FFA quilt for my grandson.  Have to sandwich and quilt.

Love it Verla! The dots for borders makes a great frame for it.

I've managed to piece the backing and pin baste this month's UFO. I have a full couple days ahead so I know that's as far as it's getting this month. Everyone has done an amazing job getting their UFOs finished. I've been doing so-so but I've also not been making any new future  UFOs so that's something.
