You know how it works.  If you intend to go the entire quarter without adding to your stash, sign up below and post updates from time to time ( no required checkins ).   If you do add to your stash, post about it as well.

Adding to your stash will mean that it grew during the quarter.. either by purchase or gift. ( we only say gift so you can't give your hubby 20.00 to get you some moda.  ) LOL

good luck

My hubby can't believe I made it through the first quarter without buying any quilty fabric.  I'm all for proving I can do it even longer.

I haven't had as much quilting time as I would have liked. In the past I usually still continued with quilty shopping during busy times, I think because if you don't have time to quilt then quilty shopping is the next best thing. But that makes my stash grow even more because I don't have time to do a lot of quilting. So at least my stash has now started decreasing, perhaps not rapidly decreasing, but any decrease is good because it will make room for some fun new fabric someday when I NEED them.

You can add me again, but don't know if I can last the whole qtr. In the 3rd qt, in August is shop hop, so I know I'll be buying then.  Only chance I get to visit qs in the other parts of the state.

You can add me.  I added enough fabric and kits to my stash this past quarter I dare not add more until I get some some of them made up.

I made it through the first quarter, even sold some of my stash.  Not nearly enough has gone, but will be putting more up for sale real soon.  So add me to the second quarter no buy!

My sewing machine is calling me and today I hope to listen! Sally

I will continue to stay in the no buy stash for a little longer.

April, May, June.  I can do it, specially after the first 3 months of 2018.  I did good on my stash, but admit to buying more to do one block wonders with.  So I think I did end up gaining more than I used.

Nancy, the Soap Lake retreat begins June 26.  They have a fabulous fabric store with very good prices nearby.  It is best not to go there without a list of what you NEED.  To complete those things from stash that need a little more of a certain color, etc.

I will have enough to keep me busy until July 1, day before the retreat ends.

Checking in and holding true. Reducing stash by joining swaps.

I'll be heading to a retreat in 2 weeks and will be taking lots of f4s from my stash.    I need the space and have no intentions of shopping.  :D

GG, you are so strong.  I have already broken the vow I made with myself but hadn't yet posted.  I purchased some fabric today to add to the Memory Quilt I am making for a friend from her DHs shirts.   Not enough shirts to make a good sized quilt.  Stay Strong.  I'll be thinking of you later in April, all of you at the retreat.  Though I said I probably wouldn't attend another, I have very fond memories of my time there and I do feel a little "tug" thinking about that beautiful retreat center and of the 15 awesome ladies I met and two of their DHs.

I'm going to try and hold firm this qtr.   I haven't stopped in a quilt store yet this year (although the freebie table at our quilt meetings have been tough).   However, I'm planning a couple of road trips to larger shops this summer, so I know I'll be toast 3rd qtr.   Trying to hold off until July.
