now 4 of the 5 blocks are done.  Hope to start on last block tonight or tomorrow.  Then I will add borders.. figure it will be easier to add wool pieces to border after they are attached to the blocks.

I'm still hoping to get the Beach Ball quilt sandwiched and quilted before end of month.  I haven't given up on having a finish this month.

I'm aiming for a finish yet this month, too, Sharon!

A friendly reminder to everyone in this discussion group that if you complete a quilt, we'd love to have you post a picture of it in the "Finishes" forum.  We'll be having our first quarter prize drawing in a week.

Sadly, Tutti Frutti is still in a top & back...

I just need to cut batting & layer it...

Sounds easy enough... until I hear "Nana...Oli pop wants..."

I am such a sucker for that little guy!

Maybe I can get it layered one night this week...

I was able to finish my Summertime Sampler project.  DH preferred it looking simpler without added applique.  Will get it hung tomorrow, the snowmen can finally come down.

I have been busy working on my quilting, but the machines (both of them) went in for servicing this month, which slowed things down.  I'm hoping to finally finish Clarissa's fairy quilt this month - I'm in the process of sewing down the binding.  Not the quilt I have listed for this month though.  Embroidery is moving along on the pirate quilt, but haven't had much time to work on it.  I also have the 1, 2 or 3 swap blocks quilted and the binding sewn on, just need to finish sewing that down.  I did pull out blocks for the bingo quilt, but have not done anything with them.  That will be my next project (probably will take them to the retreat in April to finish the top.)

I've also been quilting on the O Christmas Tree quilt, however I am currently ripping out that quilting (ugh).

The way to get started is to quit talking and start doing.

Got my Mega Quilter back and it is working.  Managed to quilt the Flash Myster Quilt...now if I get the binding on it, I might have one finish for this year.  I also finished the tops of the 8 place mats by Judy Niemeyer that I started for my daughter.

I'll post some pics later.  I also sent my On Forest Floor to the long armer.  If I can find some backing, I plan on loading the Bonnie Hunter On Ringo Lake onto the frame and see what damage I can do to that.

Some of of have made progress on their project for the month, others made progress on other projects that called to them.  That's what this is about right, making progress!

Since it is a holiday this weekend, in the next couple days I will get the chart for April set up and see what number Max pulls.

Today, I'm looking at the fabrics I have and picking out a backing for my March UFO Beach Ball quilt.  If I can get it made I think I'll be able to sandwich and quilt before the EOM.  Hoping!

Sharon,  it's actually from her spelling/school book (can't remember the name of it right now). So far, it's the only block that isn't from FGV, but when I saw it, I figured I needed it in there with the sheep block (that is still on my to-do list). And I still have to do the hand embroidery on it and several other blocks.

My Boo Crew top is still sitting and waiting

Today I have sort of a free day...the kids are home for Spring break so you never know what could come up.

So the question of the day

Taxes or quilting   I say quilting but hubby keeps asking if I got the taxes done yet.

Perhaps an hour of taxes, an hour of quilting, then repeat...that might work

I got my March UFO backing made/pieced and  sandwiched and my Beach Ball Quilt is ready to quilt.  I still have two days to quilt  it and bind and will have a finish.   I will get to it tomorrow.  Eyes gave out today.  I see a finish for March.

Nice job, guys!

I've been keen to work on #5, the large bookcase, the last couple days, so I have.

I also started a stole for my current pastor.  Sara's an earnest young woman and I think she's finding it challenging to fit in.  Like most churches, nearly everybody's older than her.  Heck, most of 'em are older than -me- and I'm 41.  I treat her like my younger sibs, which means I tease her a lot, but do listen to her in her area of specialty. Usually.

Sometimes I question my sanity. ....Occasionally it replies
