Is Max going in reverse order? lol

I'll be working on 9, Tree'ish chain and 3, Jamie's tshirt quilt.  The chain is hand quilting and Jamie's quilt is machine quilting. Also, Jamie's is a commission, so I want to get it done sooner rather than later.  Tree'ish has been in the works for years. sigh.

Sometimes I question my sanity. ....Occasionally it replies

OK, Number 9...Beach Ball Quilt with Christmas fabrics!  This one will be fun.  I will work on this one. (and I bet I do better than I did on #10.  I'll still work on 10 sometimes and post. But much later)

My #9 is my rainbow Bargello. I am almost done. Today I sewed on the binding. I just have to hand sew it now.

My #9 is Boo Crew, a halloween quilt.

But first I'm planning to sew tomorrow, the last day of Feb and get February's UFO into a quilt top.

I tried, really tried, but picking a quilt to finish in a specific month just isn't working for me. I am doing something in the quilting room almost daily but I have to work geared on my mood to accomplish anything. I started with eight projects and my overall goal is to get them done in 2018. Some months I will work on a number of them plus side projects that pop up to use up the scraps from some of the projects and other times I concentrate on one. So call me a drop out and remove my name if you like.

Mine is Josh and Chelsey’s quilt, I ordered the pattern and templates. Will buy fabric after it gets here. I will work on something else until then

Agnes, you don't need to drop out.  While it is great to get one of our UFOs finished, this group is more about making progress.  :).

I will be working on both Summertime sampler and FGV, and probably prepping some wool and applique projects.

Thanks, Chelle. My projects will get finished. I may be working on all on my short list any month. I'll share finishes, just not what I plan to work on.

March will probably be a mishmash of projects that I want to get done this month.  I need to finish FEb. Autumn Leaves.  Will finish sashing today but I still have a gazillon flying geese to finish for the border.  I also want to finish a Christmas wallhanging which is basically done except for finishing the quilting and binding; and a baby quilt qhich I need to sandwich and attempt to machine quilt.  Then I will get on to #9 KY quilt which still needs one block, sashing and borders.  Obviously I am very optimistic in my expectations considering how slow I am!

NOT a drop out, Agnes.  Sometimes it just doesn't work to have to follow a set path.  I find myself distracted all the time...thinking I can do this or that, setting out to do this or that, and then...well something else gets my attention.  Not sure if that means I have ADD, but I think most of us quilters do!  Work at your own pace and do what you like.  I may be considered a drop out, too.  Would like to follow what I think I can do, but may have to go with what I WANT to do.

Sharon, I'm sure I do have ADD, after reading up about it after my son was diagnosed I was like "duh, no wonder I am so distracted and always starting new projects before I'm done with my old ones"

But this UFO challenge keeps me at least giving to attention to one old project each month inbetween all the fun new things my brain dreams up to work on.

(I wish you had saved #9 for another month.)   My #9 is Batik Kaleidescope

I have not much of a start:   Pattern and a stack of Batiks in 6 bright colors + black for the border.  That is where I start on this.  I got the fabric at camp shop hop in November, pattern in washington camp year before.    Next step cut the stack of 10 inch squares,  then cut up for the kaleidescope per pattern

I hope I can even get the top put together,   never the less quilted.  but trying.........

Aw Verla, I'm sorry.

If it makes you feel any better, nearly all of my UFOs are project that haven't been started.  Of course Candis gave me some blocks so suppose I could swap a couple out.

I will find a set of blocks for my #9 bingo quilt.  Not sure which blocks, but I can start digging through my ufos on Saturday.

The way to get started is to quit talking and start doing.

Verla, like you I only have a jelly roll and some background fabric for my Beach Ball quilt.  I have seen the Jenny Doan video for this pattern and have to write down all the measurements and begin cutting.  Will post pics when a get a few blocks made.
