I am down to one quilting needle. What brand and size do you use? I don't have the package from the one I have and wondered where to buy some good hand quilting needles. I don't have a quilt shop near me.

Hi Dee!
My favorite hand quilting needles are Roxanne - size 10 or 11. If I can't find those, I like the Clover needles. Dritz needles tend to bend too easily for me.

I love the John James Golden Eye betweens, size 9 - 10 - 11. I don't have a quilt shop near me either so I usually buy online. Sometimes I get them at Erica's, sometimes Quilt in a Day or Hittles.
Nice to see you here again. Are you buried in snow? |

Thank you both. Roxanne sounds familiar and I think the one I have is a #9. I will order some and see. This year it seems it snows 2days then it melts then repeat. Can't wait for SPRING!!! Thanks and glad to be back and in the mood to sew

I tend to use 11s for quilting, 9s for piecing. As a brand, I don't have a favorite, though I quite liked the ones my MIL once bought me. Don't remember the name but it had a sort of all-over floral-ish pattern. Ah well. Happy hunting |

I use Piecemakers size 10. The eye is quiet small, but I love the short, thin needle. I can make small, even stitches with this needle.

I like my #10 Roxanne needles pretty well. I have 10 packs of 12 John James size 11 that are just a bit much for my hands these days, and 2 packs of Piecmeker 12's.
