On QATW, we like to motivate each other to actually finish our projects, so let's get the annual celebration underway!  We're calling it...

      COMPLETED in

We want to see pictures of quilted projects that you finish this year, and for each one, you can earn points towards prizes. Your projects should need at least 8 hours of work to reach the finished stage.  (If all that is left is stitching the binding to the back side, it was practically finished already, and we're still happy for you that it's now done, but for prize-giving purposes, let's not count those.)  We're here to applaud and reward projects that required some effort from you this year.

Finish 10 (or more) quilted projects for the year and your name will be entered in a drawing at the end of the year.

One (1) Point for a quilt finish - minimum size 40" x 40", quilted and bound

Two (2) Points for a quilt finish made of QATW swap blocks

These can be UFOs or new projects.

Small projects under the size of 40" x 40" will be tallied on the chart, and you will earn 1 point for every 3 small finishes up to 3 points.

There will be quarterly drawings for those with 3 or more finishes in the quarter.  Drawings will be April 1, July 1, October 1, and January 1 (2019).  Each quilter has FIVE chances to win something, one per quarter and the grand prize.

In the discussion to follow, please post a description of your finished project, the history of your progress on it, who it is for, the pattern name if you know it, its finished size (inches x inches), if it's a QATW swap, and then post a finished picture.

Post by the last day of the month.  We can't give you credit for a May finish if you post about it in June.

Please post in this discussion area.  Do not PM me.  I will update the chart from your posts here at least once a week.

Okay, let's get some projects DONE!  Sew, sew, sew!

I will make every effort to update this chart at least once a week. If by any chance I miss one of your posts, please, please, PLEASE send me a gentle prod to check post #... Thanks!   (last update Jan. 19, 2:30 p.m. central)

I'm just about ready to finish the quilt I sewed together at the Lodge in November.  It is the one made from my friend's father's shirts.  She wants it to be a special surprise for her mom's birthday in March.  Leah suggested stabilizing it as some of the shirt fabrics are rather thin. That will be tomorrow.  Just need to make 24 more stars for the border and quilt it. Please add me to the listing.  I hope to finish many WIP's this year.

My heart is fed with needle and thread.

Put me on the list I am gathering my UFOs together as we speak and hope to finish one per month...if possible around baby sitting duty.

Your quilt is so bright and pretty, Florence! Are the flowers printed on fabric or are they appliqued?

I will start filling in the table when I'm on my laptop - can't do it on phone.

Nancy, please add me to the group. I have lots of UFOs and made progress on 3 small ones yesterday. Hopefully this will motivate me to keep working on all of them. Thank you for organizing this!!

Sign me up Nancy, I need the motivation to get some UFOs done.    Although the first couple on my list is just the back side binding - I still have others I can do.   I just might be late starting for an 'official' completion here.

No, just as I can't count the time I spend searching out hidden snacks or surfing the web while in my sewing room!  LOL
