This is my third time trying to post. Maybe I'll do separate posts and see if that works.

I got my #11 top done, but put it away. Since it is a Christmas quilt, and destined to stay with me, it can wait. I have to get back to the wedding quilts. (Photos of those will follow in separate posts!)

I hope everyoe has been able to make progress on their project choices for this month, that's what it's about right?

I will get February's chart set up tonight or tomorrow.

Max is the one picking numbers.

Would you rather he pick the number on the first day of the month or a day or two prior?

I was finally able to work on my #11 Gracie blocks.  Tomorrow it will be a top.  Will post a photo then.  Love all the finishes for this month.  Great job!

I like having the number drawn and posted on the last day of the month. That way I can jump right in on the 1st and not have to wait. It also helps anyone who is in an earlier time zone. Do we have any members from across the pond?

What It comes down to is I just don’t like not knowing something and having to wait lol. In reality we are all just doing what we need or want to work on and ultimately if we have a finish each month we’re all winners. ;)

#11 is now a top!  It needs a good pressing and a date with the lint roller.

Elephant Abstractions top done.  Now need to sandwich, quilt and bind.  Don't know how long that will take, but will be done.

Loraine, I LOVE your Elephant

My strings are a finished top...I think. It's 48 x60"  I still have more strings and could go bigger but I think it's time to call it done and move on to the next project.

Well, I've officially gotten 1/3 of the blocks finished.  Not bad for a crazy-busy paper piece quilt I hadn't actually started before January 1.

Lorraine, MY GOSH that's an AWESOME elephant!  Wow!  That looks so hard...is it?

Jackie, I do love the string quilt.  Never have tried one...but have turned up some more fabric pieces and scraps...maybe I should try one, but maybe I should send a lot of these away to someone I know will use them?

I would call it challenging. But if you paper piece not too bad. Just have to pay attention that colors are going in the right place.

Although I didn't get a finish this month, I got alot done.  42 cat blocks finished and sent off to be signed by coworkers.  My 11 has 40 blocks done completely the other 56 being chain pieced.  Teague's quilt is on my machine right now being quilted.  I finished a quilt for my aunt who is going thru treatments again, she loved it which makes my heart happy.  February will be the finishing up for most of these.
