Yesterday I sewed all the Spring Has Flung Irish Chain blocks together.  Deciding on border or no border and also what to use for backing.

Put all my heart dresden blocks together and bordered them, now ready to quilt. Put together a pillow I had quilted some time ago and forgotten about, and almost finished with a pair of retro bellbottom jeans today. In between all that, sewed a few 9patch blocks too.

Brenda, what pattern is that block?  I love the curve in the one square.  Are those going to be fish?  What a pretty color that yellow/orange is.

Brenda, those are cute fish and fun to put together. I posted my fish wall hanging a couple of weeks ago. Sharon, Jenny Doan has a u-tube tute on how to make them. Mine is for a challenge by a local quilt store. They give you a half yard and you get to pick the pattern. The fabric remined me of water so of course fish.

Had to spend some time with the ripper this weekend. Thankfully it was only one block, and not more. I went slower when I resewed and it went better. It will be nice to have this quilted up and ready for winter.

Bonita, I missed the pic of your wall hanging.  I looked back a few pages in the Completed in 2018 thread, but didn't find it.  If I saw it before, I forgot that I did.  I'll have to find Jenny's u tube video and watch it!

Sorry Sharon, but it's not a finish but in this thread #735. I have since added the border waiting to see how I can quilt it.

In the mood for cutting the past cuple days, so I have 4 tops cut and kitted, ready to sew, and one to cut today. All of that without going to a fabric store. Only thing i will need is batting when I'm ready to quilt. Got most of the backs too

I now have over 100 fish parts cut out, now to cut some back ground parts.  I am not sure how many to take to the retreat I need about 42 for the small quilt but my husband wants me to make it a twin for our grand daughter, age 8 months he must think it is going to take me a while lol.

Brenda, it will be so fun to work on those fish at retreat - esp. with all the pieces cut!  If you make it big enough for a twin bed, you could add a mermaid or something sweet for your granddaughter.

Sharon, I found this pattern which is very similar to Brenda's - https://www.thesweetteagirls.com/shop/Kids-Patterns/p/Rush-Hour-Traffic-x18309711.htm   I love that method for creating curved seams - a folded piece pulled back like the cathedral window quilt block.  You could probably come up with your own pattern once you tried the technique which you can google.  I've made dragonflies that way.

Thanks, Nancy.  That is an awesome pattern and I think I'll have to try to make a couple of blocks to see how I do.

my sewing room was the front seat of my car yesterday afternoon...I am hand sewing binding down on the Eagle Window Pane!  I will have a FINISH!!!

Bruce drove us 1.5 hours to my parents motorhome (where we parked it 6 days ago for them on a temp site).  We had to go today to move it to a seasonal site (thankfully the campground owners are my step-sister & her hubby) due to step-dad falling Monday and fracturing his left forearm and breaking his right wrist.  As we were relocating the motorhome, which means I stand out behind it as hubby backs it in (he still doesnt listen so I dont know why I do it) making sure he doesnt hit anything, my front tire went flat on my car!

So Bruce finishes leveling & setting up camper while I "drop the doughnut" and get ready for him to change the tire.  We get the itty bitty tire on just in time for Step-Brother-in-law to arrive.  He has a tire patch kit! So we go to his shop & he patches and we put "normal tire" back on.  We were not looking forward to going 40-45 mph home...

I did not get to sew on way home as I was dirty and it was dark!

Donna what an adventure!  So glad you got the REAL tire fixed and put back on the car.
