The way to get started is to quit talking and start doing.

Hey CV, not to make this harder for you but did you know that 3 Dudes Quilting in Phoenix is going out of business and everything is 50% in store?

Well, I can't this quarter since I bought background fabric for my UFO Saturday, and sumbunny might get me a gift certificate to a quilt store for my birthday tomorrow. (he knows his spouse.)

For future reference, does a previously signed up for BOM count?  Still on month 7 after 14 months.   I still want the rest but odds are pretty good that it'll take more than 6 months for them to ship the final 6 months.

Sometimes I question my sanity. ....Occasionally it replies

ROFLOL - it's those sales, closeouts and bargains that got us where we are today.   Visit your stash often and learn what you have... even refolding it helps curb the urge to buy something.

be strong

Nope, not even a spool of thread. Hey do new ideas count? If so, I may be in trouble.

I cannot believe I am still standing.  I must admit I was very, very tempted the other day (online).  I had my basket full with a couple items and at the lst minute dumped the contents.

Jann, I "feel your pain"   I have looked...and been tempted...I don't know how long I can hold out.  SEW many beautiful fabrics and oh my, SEW many great deals.  What were we thinking?  I'm trying REALLY hard.

On a good note...I finished a quilt top ALL from stash, including the binding which Fred discovered in my fabric cabinet.  Will post a pic when done, but I'm happy with it.  I love when he comes in and just "finds" something that will work.  This is for a friend who is starting over and I have used ALL stash to complete.  I almost want to keep it for myself.

I have some beautiful and fun fabrics. If I ever get into my sewing room and start organizing fabric I am sure I will find them.

Tess are you first quilter out ?

If so, you can still be strong and buy nothing else...  ugh.

Sharon, you can hold off.  A quarter flies by and think of all the work you'll get done by NOT starting new and storing extra fabs.

Jann,  Don't look Ethel !!!   LOL

got mt connecting threads catalog in the mail, there is some cute horse fabric in there

But NOOOOO

I tore out a photo of a table topper idea I liked and am throwing the catalog in the trash. I need to go look at the last fabric that I ordered and haven't done anything with yet.

9 days and counting

I am proudly holding strong!  I had to delete emails from fabric shops too, when the kids sleep, its too tempting to surf the pretties!  I only have part of my stash with me at my daughters, so its like shopping when I go home and get new fabrics from my real stash.  lol  I really do have plenty to keep me busy for a long time, I even found some wide backings I had forgotten about at home.  Stay tough ladies!

I wanna see pictures of you alls stash. It will be be documented on here, proof you really don’t need new fabric. I know I have a large stash. But it always seems I don’t have what I need for that one project I am working on. Or, I have been coveting my special fabrics that you can’t find anymore and is so beautiful you can’t part with. I also blocked the adds from all the fabric stores. It’s just that when I’ve had a bad day, or I’m depressed , buying fabric helped. But when it gets here I look at my existing stash and wonder , now why did you buy that. Where are you gonna put it? It’s a vicious cycle! headbutt

I have no intention of buying any thing seeing related any time soon. If I hadn't already signed up for the bom i wouldn't even be doing that. Unfortunately I signed up in October for it.

I just found this!  If I'm not too late I'd like to join in.  I haven't bought any fabric this year.  I am on the Fabric Moratorium on the Quilting Board and fell off the wagon too many times last year.  Maybe being on two groups will help me.  At least I hope so.

Someone asked for pics of the stashes.  I take a couple later and post them.

Check out my post on 2018 finishes...This is a total stash buster and what fun it was.  Binding may not be "perfect" but this is what I had.  Actually, it was fun.  Fred found the backing in my cabinet, too.
