Of course not for all of us but for some of us, we are trying to reduce our stash a bit and this is the place to do it.   If you can make it for the first 3 months of 2018 without buying ANY fabric, this is the place to be.   If you buy anything with cash or coupon, you will be taken off the chart but can try again in the 2nd quarter of 2018.

Let's see who will be the LAST QUILTER STANDING on the chart.   You may sign up any time the first 2 weeks of the quarter but you may NOT have bought or added yardage to your stash during the quarter. ( exception is this first quarter, all purchases or gains made before midnight 1/4 don't count - your time zone)

Ready set, USE UP YOUR STASH!!!

IF YOU ARE PURCHASE FREE, jump in the group anytime in the first month of a quarter.  Updated charts will be near the end of the posting in this message thread.

I'm only starting this because I simply have TOO much fabric and I really want to reduce it.  If I cut it in half, I still have plenty.    My plans for 2018 are to sew up a storm and have lots of finishes.

I have a question, for commissioned Quilts, can we buy fabric? I just got an order and I don’t have what they want. If it doesn’t count, I am in. If it does, I will wait until next quarter.

Mona I would think if it isn’t for you and the customer is paying for it. Then it shouldn’t count . But GG. What you think?

I'll go change the write up to read effective tonight at midnight, NO MORE stash additions..

so in a nutshell, if the fabric isn't going into your stash, then you can buy... in case you're gifting it or selling it but if your stash grows, it's a no no.

So MORE can join and reduce their stash to get it under control..

p.s.  you can not buy exactly what you need for your next ufo.  You sneaky rascal!

I am in!!!

Not only do I hope to sew up some of my swap blocks on hand, I have a full tote of tops to layer and quilt, tons of kits.  Also will be putting some of the fabric up on the Trading Post.  Planning to use some of my "what was I thinking" fabric and make them into backing for some of the tops.

My sewing machine is calling me and today I hope to listen! Sally

OhOh Sally, you better get that trading post fabrics up REALLY fast.  If they are bought before midnight tonight they're OK, tomorrow, NOT SO MUCH!

Shoot, I'm headed to a retreat in early March, and we shop hop during the 2-day drive there.  Maybe next quarter...  Good luck you guys!

As much as I would like like to join this, I can't.  I know I will have to buy backings and sashings for quilts I want to finish this year.  Maybe next quarter!

We all know I have no restraint when it comes to gorgeous cotton (on sale).  However, since I seem to be able to buy faster than I can sew  I need to join this.  In fact, I was ready to go look through some of my favorite sites and this stopped me.  Yeah!  So please put me in.

Yay!, Jann.  I just told Fred that he has to help me.  I get so many emails EVERY day from quilting/fabric sites and I have a really hard time not looking (hence buying).  Think I will "unsubscribe" from these sites.  Since I can't drive anymore (please, God, don't let this be "forever") I can't go to Joann's, or the other LQS here without Fred driving me (he will take me anywhere I want to go) I really want to be a good girl and not buy anything fabric related.

Please add me. I really need to use what I have. I just need to remember what the plans were for it when I bought it:)
