Went to my eye doc today.  Things are not much better, but I'm thankful they are some better.  This has been a hard struggle.  I am being referred to a Cornial Specialist/Consultant.  It's OK, hopefully he can give some more insight and knowledge as to what to do/how to help my situation.  I can't drive, really can't go outside without sunglasses and Fred to guide me, and I am SEW blessed because at least I have been able to work in my sewing room ( a little sewing and a little embroidery machine work) for the last three days.  I know that the ulcer has healed, but there is scar tissue on lower half of the ulcer, and now waiting for upper half to heal.  This is hard for me, probably isn't horrible, but has been a life-changing issue for me.  Here is what I want to say, I will probably be less active here, and I really do hope that you all appreciate the reason why.  I am currently working on the Needle Book Swap (I was trying to do some bead work on it today) and will complete it and mail it for my Secret Pal.  I am checking every day to see what is happening and what you all are doing.  I am HOPEFUL and looking forward to joining in on future swaps and fun challenges.  Merry Christmas to all of you.  HOPING for a total healing and solution to my eye issue...(I actually am hoping that our worry and fear is just "silly" and will be quickly resolved.

Happy New Year....Looking forward to 2018

Sharon, I can understand how upsetting this must be. I'm lifting prayers for healing and comfort. Please keep in close contact with us. We care about you, and we aren't in the least concerned if your sewing slows down.

Sharon,

There are many seasons we go through in this life.  The good and the bad; the happy and sad. As many have said above, we are here for you and want you to know we would do almost anything...well, within reason ...for you.  It's not what you're sewing but who you are in our hearts.  Keep the faith.  If we could see the end from the beginning, how would that strengthen us?  And you're a strong lady!  Prayers and <<<<hugs>>>>

hugs. One of my favorite memories is when that blind boy I married got the calcium deposits scraped off his better eye. (a common complication for people who've had glaucoma for 30+ years) Things were so much clearer for him* that he practically floated home.  i hope everything's successful for you.

I am so sorry Sharon.  My positive thoughts and prayers are coming your way.  I hope ethe specialist has the right solution for you and if for some reason, he doesn't -- don't give up  - seek out another specialist or alternative treatment.  I learned the hard way that just because they are specialist, they are still human, and may not have the right answer for you.  Even if  you can't join a swap, still hope you will be around as much as you are comfortable with.  Nonetheless, you will be in our prayers and thoughts daily -- you are an important part of the QATW sisterhood.

Thank you ALL of you for the good wishes and thoughts and prayers.  I'll see the specialist on the 18th and go from there.  You are all special to me and I know you are always here.  I appreciate and love each of you.  I'll be around.
