ok Judy, I pluged  this into EQ7.

I have came up with my layout, but  I am torn between binding it with tourquise or coral.

Ladies please help me decide. below are 2 EQ7 images of the quilt; one with tourquise binding, and one with coral binding. The one with the most votes is the what I will do.

I'm about halfway through making the cream/brown flying geese.  After this step, I'll be able to sew up all the little units into 50 blocks.

When I made the cream/aqua 9-patch units, I cut up way to many 1-1/2" strips of creams and aquas.  I am going to give thought to how I can incorporate these into my quilt top...maybe with the border?  At any rate, I will be deviating from Bonnie's design and make my "Almost On Ringo Lake" quilt top.  I'm aiming for a queen size finish so I can use it on my bed.  I'm still loving the colors.

I used the chevrons end to end in the border. I have two more narrow borders to add then I’ll post a photo. But it may not be for a another week or so. Trying to get receiving blankets and other items for my granddaughters baby show next weekend.

Wendy, I like your colorful block, very pretty.

I am now sewing up my coral and brown flying geese into units.  As I sew up these little puppies, it makes me glad that I took the time to trim out each and every one of those flipping birds, lol!  It makes sewing them up go by with ease.

I've been listening to "Outlander" on my Kindle.  It's been nice having someone read a story to me while I sew.

I have been using my flying geese as leaders and enders.  I will get there slowly.  It only took 3 years for Grand Illusion.   ROFL

Tourquise. And I like your border, Wendy. There have been many different borders giving good ideas.

Keeping myself on the straight and narrow in getting this quilt to a finish.

I now have all my units made to start making the 50 blocks.  I've made 4 blocks so far and I'm really liking them.

36 blocks to go!!

Click onto pictures to enlarge view.  The first picture shows my unit pieces and the second picture is of the first block I made.

I think I can, I think I can...sez GloBug!

Yesterday I lost my quilting mojo and didn't even visit my sewing room.  I've been feeling run down but I don't have a cold or anything going on like that.  I just don't have energy and this is bothering me alot.

I did sew up one more block but it felt "forced"...not an enjoyable process.

So I come here to my safe place and post my thoughts with the hopes of getting pumped up and inspired once again.

I'm still loving the colors of this quilt with the tiny...little....pieces....

Glo,,,YOU CAN< YOU CAN< YOU CAN!!!  I can understand that it's really hard to KEEP GOING when the pieces are tiny and it probably feels like you get no where.  But you have done a lot! Sometimes we just have to walk away and think and concentrate of other things.  Just like Thomas the Train...you can, you can, you can.  :)  Here's a quilty hug just to get you going.

Glo - we need to support each other as I've also lost a bit of my "get up and go".  Not sick at all, but really don't want to do anything that takes thinking.  I REALLY need to get back to the three quilts I'm working on.  Maybe after the funeral on Saturday, although I don't feel sad -- at least not overtly.  But I just want to lose myself in reading novels.

Wendy - turquoise binding definitely.

Glo, there are days when I just don't feel like sewing and so I don't.  A few days later I'll miss it and then start to be motivated again.  Hang in there.  Your motivation will return.
