While the ladies enjoy their retreat in IL I decided to have my own, but mine will be shorter as we head out of town Thursday.

While chatting on the phone today I was able to get final touches done on Let it Snow and got it into a top as well as sandwiched.  Earlier this week I got some blocks sewn together to go on the back of my couch to catch the cat fur, that is also now sandwiched and ready to be finished.

Anyone else creating their own retreat at home?

Anyone working on anything this week?

Exactly what I am doing this week -end  My own little retreat - I only stop to hang with my hubby every now and then. Finished the top of this HST Blue Diamond Quilt for my very special sister-in-law. It is off to the longarmer this week. And started on another quilt (same pattern-can't help myself) of beautiful flowery fabric 5” squares I received for my birthday last year. Having a blast!

I do miss going on retreats and my family is all busy so I'm doing my solo retreat.

Working on a toddler quilt for my grandbaby's bed. Using up some swap blocks which is one thing I love to do on retreats. I cut sashings and take premade blocks. I always come home with multiple tops ready to quilt. Here's what I've done today. Going to piece a llama head for the missing block.

I will be oining this retreat tomorrow first thing.  I have had a very busy weekend out of town and now I am back ready to get some work done.  I do have my GS but I plan on sewing in the family room while he plays.

Hopefully I can get to sewing shortly. I'm still in the throes of my move. Today, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Tomorrow I am overseer while DS works on some of the finishing touches for cabinets, like installing cabinets, plumbing in the bathroom sink, etc.

Just a day ago I became aware that a dear friend needed a quilt truly geared to wheelchairs. Googling finally gave me a design that is so much better than just a lap quilt. It is a Wheelchair Quillow. With friend being 95 there is no lollygagging time. If I manage to actual get started I shall join in this at home retreat.

Love it Candis, and love the name mmmm Tequila :)

Eveyln I love the toddler quilt.  I have Farm Girl Vintage on my to do list.

Bonita I hope we are able to see your project soon :)

Woohoo Brenda- getting sewing time!

Marian, I love blue and that quilt is great, looking forward to seeing the florals in a top :)

So much fun to be had.  I had planned to go for a walk first thing this morning.  Unfortunately it is still pitch black out!  Suppose that means I just have to work on something, like finding what I will do for the orament swap :)

I can do an at home retreat!  I've spent the last two weeks cleaning house and organizing my three extra rooms:

(a. sewing room

(b. fabric room

(c. Gracie 2 frame/other crafts room

I will throw something in the crock pot for dinner and head upstairs in a bit.

Such beautiful projects you all are working on ♥

I will check back in later.

Mini retreat seems to be producing many beautiful projects

Chelle, great idea...I saw the pic of your Let it Snow and love it.  Great that you are getting sew much done on the quilt for the back of your couch

Marian,  you know I LOVE blue and white.  Your quilt is beautiful...Is that Summer in the Park?

Candis...another beautiful OBW.  You are a one person wonder!!  Gorgeous and I think the name Tequila Sunrise is perfect.

Evelyn, that's going to be adorable.  I love the use of FGV for a child's quilt.

I HAVE GOT TO get my FGV blocks out and do something with them.  I actually want to make more and add to the ones I got.

Agnes, it will be interesting to see your wheelchair quilt.  I'm anxious to see what you do.

Brenda, I'm sure you will come up with something awesome for your Mini Retreat Project

Bonita, I'm going to the Home Page to see your picture and I'll try to post it here in this thread

I am making Christmas Ornaments...Gotta see if Group 3 is a go and if there is room for another person in it.

I am making

Decided to go ahead and get the walk done.  Just under a mile, but I haven't been doing much exercise.  Looking out the window I see I got home right before the wind picked up :)

I need to go ask a question on the ornament swap, then shower have breakfast and decide what I will work on first.
