October is here...

Are you ready to work on a new UFO project?

The number I drew is #7

Also if you are feeling ambitious and want a second number, I drew #29

We have 31 days this month, I hope to fill them with more sewing than I have the last few months. I have a lot going on until the 11th and then I plan to have SEWING TIME!!!

What are your plans this month? Do you have something you'd love to get finished this month?

Well I have failed miserably thus far, but need to get my sewing into gear, and this is the month to do it.

I guess I will still finish the heart wall hanging, it seems a bit ridiculous at this point, but shouldn't take much.

I want to make the cat quilt by mid November, for recipients birthday.

I am signed up for a flannel rag quilt class later in the month, which is intended as a Cmas gift. I have made one before, but signed up to have a whole day of sewing, and expect to have it all sewn together and ready for clipping by end of day. (No need to put that on chart, but it's clear I have no problem planning projects, just in the completion)

Verla, you overachieverwoohoo Twelve done, and they were awesome. My number 7 is floral Pinwheels. Two years ago I was obsessed with all the different ways to arrange half triangle squares and started about five projects. Three are on my wip list, lol. Maybe I should concentrate on finishing themsilly Instead, at the moment, I am making a quick glows in the dark Out of This World quilt for my five year old neighbor, Caiden. It's using Stonehenge kids fabric.

I have finished four quilts from my list. I have finished other quilts, too, my most productive year ever. I keep record. I have made or started 51 quilts since I retired in 2009. Most are completed. Lots of kids quilts, and mostly for family. Thank you, QATW, for leading me on this awesome journey.

My #7 is Allietare that I took to the Canada retreat.  Now I think maybe I'll take it to the Illinois retreat and maybe it'll become a top.  I think all the blocks are finished.  Now just to arrange the blocks and set it.

My heart is fed with needle and thread.

great projects

So awesome Deb that you have finished so many quilts

My projects for this month are #7 Garden Party and #29 Strawberry fields.

I'm going to dig out Garden party and get it on my wall so I can at least start thinking about getting to it

Wow, a new month already.

My horse trip was GRAND!!!  It snowed on us.  Just teeny little flakes.  We were around 6500 feet in the Cascades.  But we got the ride done we wanted to do on the trail we wanted.  And it was a humdinger of a trail.  We came out a different easier trail.  The horses were great.

Anyway, on to the important stuff.

My 7 was completed back in April.  29 is Chuckles and I may take it with me this week and look at it.  But mostly I will be working on 31 the Lattice Quilt for the wedding in November.  This morning I figured out the quilting.  I hope to finish the top this week and sandwich it next weekend when I am home.

Nice finishes from the previous thread, ladies.

This has been so much fun for me and such an encouragement to just get on with my projects.  I know it's a lot of work for the organizer.  So many thanks!!  I hope we do this again next year.

The trail is the thing....Louis L'Amour

Hopping back in so I can hopefully make some progress. #7 is Barbara Brackman blocks but they aren't here. I will work on Ellie's bookcase quilt, just pucked up the blocks from home. Gage's quilt will be next if I get done, it's a top and last picture was posted in earlier month. Ellie's is just blocks from the swap. I need to make more and embroider some names on books. Both kids have birthdays in November so it would be nice to finish by then.

Here is my #11 Let it Snow as of today.  At this point I won't add a second project but that may change as the month goes on... is that ok?

My number seven is the row a long from last (?) year. My rows were all americana. Photos are in my gallery.
I should be able to get it into a top at least.

My second project will continue to be the boots. I've got all but the middle section quilted, now I just have to r remember how to put them together! I laid them out on my guest room bed; I'll have to try to add a photo later.

Nah, you haven't failed, Karen.  It's just quilting and everything is one stitch at a time.  Even if you've only sewn a centimeter, it's still progress.
