Treats???? Better get busy...

Shhhh, don't ask others to sign up. We have better chances of winning those astonishing prizes ourselves with fewer players. wink

Oh darn, did I just let the cat out of the bag?

Ah, that kind of treat I can provide. I don't have much for baked goodies around because if I bake them, we eat them, and neither of us needs them! Wine is just glorified grape juice, so that should be good for you, right?

Ooh, I'd play and share in Nancy's treats. But, we have a very important dinner date. We are taking our granddaughter and her husband out to celebrate their announcement that I'm gonna be a great granny! I'm beyond excited, have already started planning baby quilts. As in MULTIPLE baby quilts. MANY baby quilts.

Next time I'll play.

Okay, Judy, now I'm curious.  Is she expecting quintuplets???

Nope, not that we know of yet. She's my only grandchild providing me with my first great grandkid and I'm probably going to go overboard. I plan on making a stack of small, simple flannel quilts. No batting. Also will make a crib size.

She informed me at dinner tonight that they aren't going to learn the gender of the baby. Well, dang. I can make them neutral but was really looking forward to a girly quilt or a manly quilt. Heck, in addition to the other quilts, maybe I'll make one of each. One could stay in my great grandbaby hope chest.

She's also requested all the story books I read her and her dad. She wants to start reading to her baby, like, now! Thank goodness I kept them.

Reading aloud to a baby in utero is a wonderful start to raising a highly literate child. If you don't have Mother Goose in your collection, I strongly recommend it for its sing-songy word patterns. (Don't worry about any hidden political messages of days gone by.)

Good for your granddaughter for being so involved! Have fun working on those baby quilts, Judy!

Congratulations, Judy.  A Great Grandbaby is a wonderful thing.  And I love the not knowing the gender ahead of time.  That's what our Grandson and his wife did.  Baby Lidiya Anne was dedicated yesterday and we were in church watching.  I agree...make a girly one and a little boy one and tuck them away for awhile.
