Alas, my machine but the dust Sunday. I sure miss her. :(

But Old Faithful has been once again pressed into service and she is doing just fine.
Happy Quilting.

Shoot!  I didn't know today was a special day for our machines/friends.  I will go in my sewing room and give them an extra shot of oil tonight!

My family just grinned when I told them about this. But they're much more excited that today is National Bourbon Day. They have plans for a steak dinner to celebrate.

National Bourbon Day...well.......since my machine got an extra shot of oil yesterday, guess I could have a shot of Bourbon today.  Maybe with a little pepsi.

Hmm - have never tried bourbon and Pepsi,  rum and Coke, yes.  Another beverage to try!

When I was a kid we'd go visit my grandparents on their dairy farm in the backwoods of Arkansas. The kids were never allowed to drink the RC Colas. I didn't have one until I was grown and married. I finally asked my mother why RC Colas were so bad for little kids. Tasted a lot like Pepsi to me. Come to find out the bottles were full of grandpa's special hooch that he brewed back behind the barn. I was so naive! Explains why Dad coughed so much when he drank it.

I love this!  So funny and actually takes me back to PA where I spent some of my summers with my Uncle and Aunt (she was the wonderful, loving, sober one).  How funny and what a memory.
