Is this the same person  or same job ?

  Noooo mam.

Quilting-nana deals with skills and quality of workmanship.

Patchkeeper deals with keeping swap committments of mailing on time and posting progress reports.

Who are they?    From time to time, different members will agree to take on one of these 'jobs' for a term and take the PMs sent to these roles.  I can tell you names of Past patchkeepers and Quilting-Nanas but I can't tell you who is currently in that role.     These are jobs that are best done without a real name so no feelings are hurt and folks understands it's a ROLL they have not a person or persons doing these jobs based on personal opinions or agendas.

If you rec'd swap blocks and 1-2 of them really stand out as being the BEST of the BEST, you tell Quilting-nana.

If you are aware of a swapper going over 10 days without posting progress to a swap or that they mail LATE , you pm the patchkeeper.

If you rec'd a block and it's 1/4" too big or small, you pm Quilting-Nana.

If you know of a swapper that drops from a swap with less than 10 days notice, you tell the PatchKeeper.

I can't stress how important progress checks are to a hostess.   Also important is posting when you receive your blocks or f4s.    The hostess is in limbo until the swap closes.. also we don't start as many swaps when we have lots still not closed.   Please keep your hard working hostess informed.

Ah, I didn't know these were two distinct roles.  It never hurts to review this stuff.

Good things to remember...it takes an army to run this "site"...

and knowing there are "gals" out there helping to make this site enjoyable & fun for all...

I wish there was a way we could thank "Quilting-Nana & PatchKeeper" ... but anonymity is a MUST!

It cannot be easy to have to contact a fellow quilter and "explain whats wrong with their block" or "put 'em in the Patch"...

So I would like to say THANKS to the QN & PK!"

I have only done a few swaps but appreciate these rules. I am bad though as I’m always so excited to get my squishy that I neglect to check the best. Will try to remember next time!
