Mis-spoke should be 12 more rows not blocks.  Will be back in about threee months to share progress.  Goal is to be completed and displayed in our local quilt show for 2018.  Just had our show March 2016 didn't make that show so...

Lorraine, I am so impressed with your quilt!!  It's gorgeous and you've come such a long way with it.  It's fun watching your quilt grow over time!!

Wow! I love it! I set out last fall to just assemble mine to whatever size it becomes, since I decided to hang it on the wall anyway. But then I took it to show my local quilt club and they didn't like that both my houses and my sashing were prints.  They wanted to me to sash with solids, meaning I had to rip out about 30 blocks which were already sashed AND two yards of fabric wasted because I'd already cut it.

But no, I have decided now to ignore them and my BHWS top WILL be completed in 2016.

brownquilting - your quilt is looking so good! Not that much further to go. It is going to be great.

bobanda - do it your way, that is why we quilt, so that we can create something that speaks for us ... not to someone else's muse.

Keep saying that I need to get back to mine. Hope this will provide inspiration.

Checking in.  16 rows completed and 6 more to go.   Need 102 more houses to make a total of 365. Coming along. Will have to hang from the roof to get the full effect the next time we meet.  See you in October.

What an awesome and fun quilt, Lorraine.  I can't imagine being so focused on such a big undertaking.  It is wonderful and your talent is as huge as your spectacular quilt!!

Lorraine, that is impressive!  When you say "see you in October," are you saying you are coming to the WA retreat and will be bringing this along so we can see it in person?

Oh my Lorraine, you are coming along with your adorable widdle houses quilt top!  They say "slow and steady wins the race" and you're showing us proof of this!  Looking forward to your post in October.

I keep coming back to this thread. I finally decided I really DO want to do this, even though it is well past the original post date. It was the though of all that paper ripping that kept me out. I decided to buy some of Carol Doaak's foundation papers to make it easier. I WILL start this. Just not today.......

Piecing my little houses into rows now, trying to muddle through layout...

In other news, my little houses caught the attention of my friend who happens to be a writer, and she mentioned them in one of her recent essays, here

Amanda - what a sweet write up.  I loved reading it.  What a special friendship you have and your quilt will be even more special now.

I've made my first tiny house! Photo is in my gallery. It is so cute! And my 12 year old thinks so, too!
