We have LIMITED space for attachments...  so if at all possible, the VERY BEST thing you can do is to put your picture in your album here in our Gallery and then COPY it, come here and PASTE it into your message or reply.  It's the EASIEST way to put it in a message and we are not limited to GALLERY space.

1. START AN ALBUM ( you have to LOGIN at the gallery to do this)
2. LOAD PICTURES INTO IT
3. COPY THE PICTURE FROM ALBUM

4. PASTE into message.

--- how to start an album

1.  Click on the tab 'gallery' found under our banner at the top of this page.
2.  Log in using your forum Nickname & Password.   It must match exactly.
3.  Click on Add an album.
4.  Fill out the 3 fields,  click on Add album.    If you allow others to post to your album, you can remove any photos you wish.

:)

Once you have them in your album, you've done the hardest part.

Now while you are viewing the photo ( the large version, not the smaller thumbnail )

put your cursor on the photo, Right click and take the COPY option,   OR use your CTRL & C keys to copy it.

Come to start a message or to post a reply, and when you are in the text entry, click on the icon ov the clip board with a piece of paper on it,  ( 2 over from the scissors )  OR  uses CTRL & V keys to paste.

Some do well with right click to paste, others do better with CTRL + C keys.

hugs,

gg

If your pictures time out while uploading, they may be too large.

I came up with a step sheet (attached) for compressing your photos.  If you have any of the Microsoft Office products installed on your computer, you have access to Microsoft Picture Manager.  It makes resizing of photos quite easy.  You can also use it to crop your photo and/or adjust color and contrast.

Edit - I cannot attach the document here. If you would like the instructions, please send me your email address so I can send the document to you.

Darlene, it is and I am not sure how gini does it.   I own an Ipad but have no idea where it is.  I haven't seen it since Dec when we packed up to move out of my old  house.

If anyone can give ipad tips here, that would be GGGreat!

I have tried different ways to post my pictures with my iPad and it doesn't work. Is very frustrating.

Same here.  I can post to the gallery on my ipad, but cannot figure out a way to copy the link to add it to a thread.  I have to go to my pc to do that part.  I have tried many times, especially right after an iOS update.

When I go to my hard drive to upload a picture, it  shows me how it's being stored .. right side up or sideways..   if I see it is wrong, I make the changes and save it.

I've not had any pictures 'turn' on me while uploading them into  my album here.

Does anyone have this problem and know how to fix ??

Also make sure your camera is turned the right direction.  When I changed phones, I found the direction I held my camera had changed -- on the new camera, the pictures became upside down if I held it like the old camera.  A 180 degree flip, solved the problem.

I use my iPad to take pictures and post to gallery. If I hold it horizontal to take the pic. It posts sideways to gallery. I have to turn my iPad vertically with the button at bottom to my right, then tak the picture, then it will will load straight. I know weird, but I kept playing with it untill it came out straight. I can not post a picture to a discussion with my iPad, I use my computer to do that. So I think Jann is right. Make sure the device your using is in the right direction.

1.  go to gallery

2.  Sign in there

3.  go to your album

4.  click on add photo

5.  go to the file / area that has your pictures on your ipad

6 select the picture.

Can you do these first steps ?

To post a photo from your iPad:
Insert the pic in your album.
Hold your finger on the large version, then choose COPY.
Start your message and choose the icon above that looks like a mountain with a sun.
Backspace to get rid of the writing //http etc. You then have a blank area to hold your finger and choose PASTE.
It will then paste the address of your photo. You do have to name it but it will show up when you press POST below. I copied the above barn from GG’s first photo folder because I can no longer use my photo album for some reason.
