I'll try to work on BOTH today. I'd really like to finish that bag I came close to finishing last evening, and I need to complete more flying geese star points before March 1.

I spent 2 hours on this today.  I talked to Veronica yesterday and she was not feeling well she had slept off and on all day.  I hope today goes better for her.  Hugs Veronica

An hour or so on THIS, waiting for and then attending my psych appointment.  She's used to my variety of fidgetting.

Feb. 20 - EITHER - 20 min+++

I worked on THAT and finally finished the first of the three "Wide Open" bags.  This is the large.  The design looked easy, but I found putting the bias binding around the edges hard - especially along those sharp curves at the base of the bag.  Too many layers of fabric and foam squished into that binding strip.

Once it's unzipped, it truly is "wide open."  The pattern called for mesh as the interior pockets, but I decided to use clear vinyl in case I wanted to put travel shampoo or the like in it.  I think I will use the mesh for the medium and small bags, though, because the vinyl was kind of a stiff layer that also had to squeeze into that binding.

I was hoping to work on THIS, too, but we had more snow today which meant spending time outside clearing the drives and walks.

That looks great Nancy.  Such fun fabrics and looks like a great size.  I used foam on the Sew Together bag but I cut it 1/2" smaller all around so it would not be sandwiched in the binding.  I do the same with interfacing.

Veronica, I am so sorry you are ill, hope for a speedy recovery.  Nancy, that bag is the cutest thing ever, even the inside fabric, I just love it!

Today,2/20, 4 hours on that, a group swap that I needed to make a few more blocks for, but of course I couldn't find the pattern and the pieces were odd sizes so it took quite a while.  All blocks finished, sewn into sets of 4, and now into a top... I hope to finish sewing the top together before I leave for work in the morning....
