Yesterday I decided to order a backing for my UFO.. I didn't want to piece it so it won't be basted for a few days ... I know I am getting down to the wire on my HOP/applique ufo.

I keep telling myself I'm going to make churn dash blocks to go with the cowboy quote blocks.  I may actually start those today.

Here are the sets of blocks A and B for Eureka.

and here is where I am starting on the Cowboy quilt.  I pulled some fabrics but will need to pull more I think.  I have two more panels of these little quote blocks so need to decide if I will use them or put them on Trading post.

Doing a lot of ripping on mine . I had it half way quilted and did not like it at all. This is a big set back so hope I will still have time to get it done this month.

I'm adding my #13, Mineral Matrix...I have 8 blocks out of 12 completed, then also have setting triangles and sashing to do.  Do I think I can get it completely done this month, probably not, but maybe far enough that I can send it to the long armer (it's king-sized and too big for my frame and midarm machine).  I have posted pics of the blocks I have completed so far on the BOM page.  I'll try to take of pic of the  8 of them together so far later.

Since I am waiting on backing and batting, I decide to pull another UFO to finish for January.  It's my churndash quilt.. a bit smaller than a twin but larger than a lap.   Today I got it pressed,  Backing washed, batting fluffed and then got it all pin basted.    Guess I'll be machine quilting on it tomorrow after my morning hand quilting session on Dear Jane.

Here are the first 9 blocks of Mineral Matrix, the #13 I've added to this months UFO challenge.  Might not get it done, but it because I'm going to have to send this one to a long armer, but I want to complete at least the top.
