Thanks GloBug and Barb. You've got good eyes Barb, I didn't notice one has different eyes until just now. LOL I am going to leave it that way. I spent enough time in Ripperville as it is.

I'm glad you are going to leave it, Bonita.  Reminds me of that game about which one of these is not like the others. I like it and it adds a nice little twist  Looking forward to seeing your next ones.

Bonita, your owls are adorable, it'll be fun to see if the recipient HOO receives it will notice.  I agree with Barb, it will add a unique little twist to the final quilt.

Love those Bonita!!!   I thought the OWL was the hardest of all the patterns if that helps any.  :D

I think I made AT LEAST 5 mistakes while making the blocks.  Most were left in the blocks.  teeheehee  1. turned the square piece of a hedgehogs eye.. the dark stayed in the same spot so I left the mistake..  2.  the spines are out of order on one of my hedgehogs...   3. used the wrong size square on a bunny nose..   4.  too many sashing strips or cut one too wide and quilt was longer on the left    5.  Butterfly antena is way off....   Jace will never notice or care.  :D

Also,  I made a tiny changet to the owl pattern,  I put a square at each of the bottom two corners to sew and flip ( making a hst ) and felt it made the owl look more natural... easy step...  but some might not agree that it improved the pattern.. plus.. the owl sure has enough steps, eh ?

hugs, gg

GG, I didn't notice before but I like the way you finished off the bottom. Maybe before I put it all together I might go back and do that too. I made the mistake of counting the pieces in just one eye...22.... I will not do the math on how many in 16 eyes. LOL

Love your owl and never would have really noticed the other changes without really looking.  It is darn cute.  Love the hedgehog with the spines out of place.  He has attitude:)  Very cute and love the fabrics GG

The owls really make the quilt. So beautiful and perfect for a little boy. Her designs are wonderful. Reminds me of Pam Bono. I bet she was an influence on Elizabeth. TFS and inspiring us, GG.
