Everything sounds yummy! DH is hunting so I don’t cook. I’m jealous that some of you have husbands who cook. Last week I was holding both of my newborn grand babies so asked my DH to turn on the oven to preheat. He goes into the kitchen. “How do I turn it on?” My daughter quizzically asks me when we’d gotten a new oven. Not a new oven but it was a new chore for him. He is wonderful about taking me out to eat without complaint and enjoys leftovers using the microwave. So I shouldn’t complain but I do get tired of my own food. So it’s good to hear about different meals. I have some cabbage and cabbage rolls will be a great snowy day meal tomorrow.

EVERY Sunday we have grilled salmon. It's my job to prepare the sides. Tonight I made charred brussel sprouts (done in cast iron pan) and smashed red potatoes w/ green onions. Chardonnay goes well wth this meal.

Well... I started the pork roast a bit later than I wanted... then a bit later my dh unplugged the CP in order to plug in the microwave (we are off grid, and have to be careful how much wattage we use at one time), then he forgot to plug the cp back in . I found out a good half hour or so later, and needless to say... the pork was not finished in time for dinner, so I made burgers instead.

Keep a smile in your heart :) Dorian
