Sew sorry for the delay.  Learning so much about all my quilting friends.

#1. I have a brother I've never met.

#2.  Like 25% of the population, I sleep with my eyes slightly open.

#3.  For his radiochemistry work in the pharmaceutical industry, my DH once belonged to an international society with less that 300 members.

My heart is fed with needle and thread.

#1. I have a brother I've never met.  This is a partial lie but my lie just the same.    Going through papers left after both my parents had died, we found that my dad had made support payments to a half sister until she was 18. She's older than me but I don't know her at all. Oh, the skeletons in my family's closet.

#2.  Like 25% of the population, I sleep with my eyes slightly open. This is totally true. When we were first married my DH freaked out when he realized my eyes weren't totally closed.  Both my children also sleep with their eyes slightly open.

#3.  For his radiochemistry work in the pharmaceutical industry, my DH once belonged to an international society with less that 300 members.  He did belong to the International Isotope Society.  He even went to meetings...can anyone say b.o.r.i.n.g?

Sew, Ms. QB, you guessed my lie and now it's up to you to tell us your lie.

I think Iโ€™ll do some easy ones!

1. My favorite color is Purple.

2. I have an addiction to making One Block wonders.

3. I have over 2000 different spools of various threads

That would be a LOT of thread Quiltbaby!

Here goes:

1. I have driven from home here in Alabama to Alberta, Canada, alone in a week's time.

2. I was a National Spelling Bee Champion.

3. I have a cousin who was a former Miss America.

#1. True. I did drive to Alberta with stops overnight along the way and a 2-day stay with my oldest son and his family when they lived in Kansas. I went to get our youngest son from college at the end of the term. And I did it all in 6 days, alone. I was glad to have my son on the trip back to help with the driving, but when I said that to him, he informed me his license had expired just the month before.

#2. I was not a national champion, but I did participate in the Spelling Bee competition when I was a fifth grader, aged 10. I won for my 1st-8th grade school, beating out a smartaleck 8th grade boy when he mispelled 'icy'. Then I competed in the county meet, but placed 5th. I was the only 5th grader and the others were all in 8th.

#3. True. My cousin's name is Tara Dawn (Holland) Christensen. She's about 12 years younger than I am. Her dad is my mother's brother. She ran more than once for Miss America and won in 1997. The only likeness I share with her is brown hair. She's WAY prettier, lovely inside and out. (She gets that from her mother's side.)

So Mimi, you guessed correctly.

Okay, here goes nothing...

#1. On Father's Day, our black cat Midnight caught a hummingbird and proudly brought it inside to share with the family.

#2.  Even in cold weather I'd rather be barefooted.

#3.  During my lifetime, I've lived in 15 different homes.
