Question of the Week

What do you do with overripe bananas?

Make banana bread with walnuts.

Used to make banana bread, and banana nut muffins and pancakes. But now sadly, bananas are not on my way of eating anymore.

They never last long enough to get overripe.

They rarely last long enough to get over ripe, but when they do DD makes banana bread.

I usually make banana muffins. But they don't often get overripe here, as I put them in smoothies mostly.

We usually don't have overriped bananas but when we do, I'll peel them, cut them into quarter size pieces and freeze them to use in a future smoothie.  I write the date on the baggie and try to use them within 2 months of freezing.  They work out great for smoothies!

My husband and the grandkids each eat one everyday, even the baby.  So we never have any to put in the freezer.  I use to like to put them in there and use for my protein shakes.  I think we go through two bunches a week right now.
