Yup.  It's good to have these reminders.

I've been on QATW since the beginning of the year and hate to say I just read your message. I totally agree. On the "other" site I took part in when doing round robins, some participants used pieces, sometimes an inch long, at the end or corner of a block instead cutting a whole piece. I corrected as much as I could before sending it on, but not always possible. I did a few rr's but stopped and came to this site. The swaps, etc are much better than round robins. This site seems to have more control.

You rock girl. Thanks for all you do.

Ok, will do.

My doctor said I need more fiber, so I went to the fabric shop.

Linda we do try.  Folks need to remember that being a hostess is a job and it's not always easy but when blocks or fabrics have to be returned, it's just to make sure the other swappers get ' like ' swapped items.

A hostess receives a set of blocks and will draw a random bag from that envelope and inspect it for size, fabric and seam allowances.   If it passes the swap write up, that set of blocks is approved for swapping.   If there is a problem with that block, all other blocks will have to be inspected and any block that fails to meet the requirement has to be set aside and not swapped.   Not something we like to happen but it's what the majority of our members say they want.

Being a random inspection some blocks end up being swapped that don't meet the requirements.  Should you receive one, the best thing you can do is to send a pm to QUilting_nana with the name of the block maker and the details about the block.   She will then be able to work with that swapper if there repeated reports.   She is always sweet and ready to help.   She has a group of members that work with her to help anyone that needs it.   Even if it means mailing examples.  :)

Making swaps GREAT is something we all can help make happen!

huggles,

gg

I be here and all points are valid! This quilt group does an excellent job with all of their swaps!

Glad to check in and agree.
