I was wondering how many have the Electric Quilt 8?  I was thinking about getting it as a belated birthday gift from my Hubby.

TIA

I have it. I haven't used it too much, just played around with it a little. But I like it. It's pretty easy to use.

I am the curator of an extensive private textile collection.

I love love EQ and upgraded from 7 to 8. I use the program for everything. I also like to re-create quilt patterns. Then I can change fabrics, modify blocks, change the size. I probably spend too much time playing with it.

Is it more user friendly than in the past? I heard they had tried to make it easier to use.

In my opinion, it is very user friendly and EQ8 doesn't seem to have the bugs that I experienced in EQ7.

There have been bugs mentioned on the Facebook DQ forum but EQ is very helpful and makes every effort to fix things and help with problems.

Thr basic program is easy to learn if you go through the included lessons. I bought the manual which is very good. There is so much to learn. EQ also has free lessons and tips online.
