Tomorrow I have an all day sew-in with my local quilt guild.  I have all sorts of blocks cut out and ready for the day. Including some Red, White and Blue for a Quilt of Valor top.

These are the pillows I made from the shirts I had left over.  One for Johanna and one for each of her daughter and two granddaughters.  The box with the quilt and pillows goes to UPS today!

It’s been a rough week here. My friend Laura who was here in the nursing home passed away. So glad I got to share two months with her. She was at home in her chair when she passed, they think a blot clot.
I hurt my back working at home and it kept me In bed four days. Dr gave me some muscle relaxers so finally better.
I was able to clean up my sewing room today, ready for the next project and long weekend.

Mona, so very sorry for the loss of your friend.  It sounds as though she at least passed peacefull.  Also sorry that you hurt your back.  I do hope that it will heal quickly.

Sending hugs of support Mona. I hope your back improves soon and you are back in your clean sewing room creating wonderful things.

Love the pillows Sharon

Mona, I am sorry about your friend and I hope your back is feeling better.

This morning I put a thin white border on the True Blue top, decided not to add another border, will bind in dark blue... so that is in my pile of tops to quilt (at 4 now).  I cleaned my closet a bit, have 5 bags to drop off to goodwill.  Found little project that shouldnt take long to make into a top so thats sitting at my machine.  I am about to press camping fabric, then maybe I will be motivated to cut the fabric.

Working on some pullover bibs for grandkids made out of fingertip towels and tshirt ribbing for the necklines.

After I get a stack made then I will go back and Embroider or Applique on them.

It just feels great to be sewing again.
