You are now officially ahead of me, Glo.  Although all my units are done, I haven't put a single block together yet.  Yours is beautiful!  Take your time and enjoy the process.  If it sewing doesn't feel right on some days, just sit back and relax.  Browse through quilt magazines or surf quilting websites to feast on some eye candy!  That usually gets me back in the mood - unfortunately, it's often the mood to start something new!  LOL

Glo Bug,

I love your blocks.

I have all my blocks assymbled and will start on the sashing tonight. Hope to have the blocks up on the design wall and sewn together by the end of night on Tuesday. Then it will be put away for a while. I have three baby quilts to make before I can do anything else.

I appreciate all your posts as I was having one of those "woe is me" moments with sewing/quilting.  As I've said, it's great having a place to come and share my feelings as I move forward with Bonnie's MQ.

As of today, I have made 28 of the 50 blocks.  They look so pretty.  I'm going to put them up on my wall and see if I want to make a smaller size quilt.  I'm onto Book 2 of the Outlander series...and again, I can't tell you how much I like having someone read to me!

I look forward to reading about your progress with this MQ.

WTG Missie!  It's not a race and any progress gets you closer to a finished quilt.

I've made 35 blocks and will stop there.  I plan on making a large size lapquilt using 5 blocks across and 7 blocks down.  I had to order more turquoise fabric for the sashing, border and binding.  I found some on eBay for a pretty good price.

I will keep my blocks on my design wall to inspire me to get it to a finished quilt top.  If I take them down and put them into a storage bag, they will soon become a UFO....

Wendy, that is so beautiful!  I just love the scrappy look and I think you accomplished the blending of all of these fabrics fabulously!  Congratulations on this awesome finish.

What a beautiful quilt, Wendy. The colors are great and another different border to give ideas.

Finished the top. I only used 18 blocks. 50 x 64 so a good lapsize. I used the sashing as a border. My sashing is 1/2" wide. I have the rest ready to assemble...someday....maybe. Picture is sideways.

Judy, gorgeous!!  I love the color choices.  I know you were not too sure about them at first, but they are wonderful.  This is a WOW!

Thanks Sharon. Marian, no not really a ribbon I don’t think. The border blocks were supposed to be used as the sashing but I didn’t care for the look.

Thank you for all the compiments. I do like this quilt it is now one of my favorite MQs.

Judy I  like your quilt. I thought about using my sashing pieces in a border like yours, but I didn't want left overs just sitting around, so I elected to to the bigger chevron boarder with mine.
