Week #10 – Office

Here are the areas to declutter each day to complete the office. If you do not have a specific office, this week focus on decluttering any office areas you have – like where you keep your computer, files, mail, etc.

Monday – tops of furniture

Tuesday – shelves

Wednesday – drawers

Thursday – printer and office supplies

Friday – files

Saturday – any remaining area and floor

Sunday – rest for the week ahead

I define happiness as a continuous, creative activity.

Week #11 – Craft Room (or Supplies)

Here are the areas to declutter each day to complete the craft room. If you do not have a specific craft room, do the areas where you store materials for your hobbies. If those are in multiple places around the house, try organizing them together in one place as it makes sense. This will make later organizing easier.

Monday – gather and sort craft supplies

Tuesday – children’s crafts

Wednesday – fabric, ribbon and sewing

Thursday – painting supplies

Friday – paper and paper tools

Saturday – any remaining craft materials

Sunday – rest for the week ahead

Thursday – lower cabinets

Friday – tubs and showers

Saturday – floors

Sunday – rest for the week ahead

I define happiness as a continuous, creative activity.

Sigh.... I realized that I was behind even posting and wanted to catch it up, since I said I would.  I have also realized that this is not my year to declutter.  Too many other things going on, it's enough just to try to keep up.  I have done all of the spring cleaning I will be doing upstairs, and will be putting out my Easter decorations today.  This week, I do have to start on the mess downstairs in the basement, my sewing room is a mess, and DS has a mess of his things down here as well.  I did declutter a big notebook of papers I've had for about 27 years now, and since I am no longer teaching, was able to recycle most of those, and am using the plastic sleeves for a wool project, so I guess that's something.

There's only one more week of the challenge, I will bring it over in case anyone is interested.  For me, there is always next year!

It's okay, Karen.  It's not been my year so far, either.  I did okay in January, but February and March have been a different story.  Right now I'm waiting for the warm weather so I can open the garage and work on my things in there.

Yes, these steps worked really well for me last year..

Still waiting for week 13, storage and closets to be posted, and I will move them here.

She has also started a 30 day spring cleaning challenge, if anyone wants to check that out, just follow the link on the first page!
