I'm still hangin' in.  No fabric purchases.  Working on the 2018 UFO Challenge #11 and that's keeping me busy.  In honesty I have to say that I look at some of the fabric sale emails that come and I shop with my eyes, not my pocket book  So far, so good.

Does it count if my brother gave me a piece of Cubs fabric so I would make him a lap quilt?

It only counts if you think your stash has grown.. this is about reducing your stash and working with what you have.  I won't take anyone off the chart until they tell me they caved.

Updating the chart as soon as I finsh this UFO.  :D

Started making my stash smaller today.  Posted 5 things on Trading Post.  Will have more ready to post as I clear items off the trading post site.  I want to greatly reduce this stash so I can concentrate on making the most of the stuff I do have.  LOL  We will see how well that works.

My sewing machine is calling me and today I hope to listen! Sally

GG, I had checked in on the 13th, post 103.

When I bought fabric for my Bonnie Hunter, my neutral was too dark. But made up my mind to not buy anything now until I'm ready. And working on my 2018 UFO's this quarter. So I refuse to be tempted.

I am still purchase-free.  Only flinched when I cheked out Delta Pathwork's K. Fassett sale.  I filled out the order sheet and then dumped it.

CONGRATS to all of you strong willed quilters.  I was given a GC for Christmas and held out till about the 10th and finally spent that and have been guilty of other purchases so I won't even attempt it!  More power to all of you in your endeavors.  I need to join you but a committee of 3 (ME, MYSELF AND I) have told me to not even try.  Good luck to all.

but when friends say, 'let's go to Backyard'... 'I'm a goner'

Haven't bought anything this year cause mostly of company and weather.......but that will change soon...

Happy to say I am still purchase free:). It hasn’t been easy with all the cool stuff going into the trading post.

Oh, I was tempted by an e-mail from Marshall's Dry Goods today.  Full bolt of Mary Fons "Small Wonders" at $22.50 ($1.50 a yard).  The small patterns would be perfect for backings.  I even put two bolts in my shopping basket, then came to my senses and deleted the basket.  Whew!  That was close!

Ok, ok, I caved just now. Found a fantastic fabric I wanted for a OBW for my Niece. Her grandmother died recently, she loved Hummingbirds. I just found beautiful Hummingbird fabric from equilter. So I caved for Love!! To help her feel better! Worth it.

Candis, no shame.  You caved for love.  If I cave (I almost did today but Fred was driving me to a doctor appt and I felt convicted that he wanted to get home and get his wiring done on the outdoor kitchen)  it won't be for such a noble reason.  I feel it coming!  I really want to get some more blues...The Blue swap is coming and I want MORE!  I also want more charms and Tuesday Morning is supposed to have some great deals on them.  And then I want...and....and I AM WEAK!  But, on the other side of that, I found two wonderful flannel backings for my children's Jan UFO quilts in my stash...They are actually perfect and I look forward to finishing these two quilts.  SEW, tomorrow, I can ask Fred to take me to the LQS and Tuesday Morning or sit on my "want" for more fabric!  Only time will tell.

Lol CV I don’t feel bad, not even a little bit. I guess I’ll go back to YOLO . I had good intentions. But your right I want to join Jann’s swap. I love that quilt pattern, and if I don’t have the right shade of blues I will buy some. So. I am out. Good luck guys!

Still going strong. Not even tempted to look.

I agree Candis.  A very worth while project.  You may be coming off the chart for this quarter but you are most welcome to join us again in April for the 2nd quarter...

hugs, gg

I'm not a swapper nor am I a follow the leader kind of gal. I love that quilt pattern as well and it has been on my radar off and on for about a decade. When I saw Jackie's photo post I immediately thought of a creamy fabric with a dainty purple print in my stash that I would love for the background. I will need two PURPLES to use for the main design. This quilt is now on my 2019 list as I have more than enough projects started for now. I already have all I need for the first on the list for future projects.

Unless the absolutely perfect purples trip me up I should be good for the year.
