Don't plan on joining this thread but will be cheering you all on.  Last year, I did fairly well till like I think August and then crashed and burned.  I definitely hope to get lots done this year but will just post them in the finishes for 2018 thread.

All the lists look very interesting so looking forward to seeing the finishes.

Doing a mad search because I hid my camera from inquiring minds and fingers a little too well.   I'm up to 4 blocks and 3 more have 2 more (curved) seams each on Feathered Goose.

Slowly plugging away at mine, a few blocks here and there. Now I have 51 string blocks made. I'm hoping to make it to 80, that would give me a 48 x 60" quilt. Or do I keep going till my tub of strings runs out

I have my two #11 children's Tumbler quilts bordered and appliques are sewn on.  I found the backing I needed yesterday in my stash.  Flannel...I had to piece one of the backs but they will be great.  I hope to get them both sandwiched and quilted today.  Then will find binding fabric in my stash.

Got both of my #11s sandwiched today.  Got the first one quilted and trimmed and ready to bind, and my right eye gave out and I will wait until tomorrow to work on number two.  I haven't figured out the binding for either, but tomorrow will be a better day!  I am sew excited to think that I will have two more finishes for Jan/2018!

All of these finishes are great. Bonita, love your border choice and my blocks like your's are sitting here waiting to get together one day.

I am a little more than 1/3 done on the bargello quilt top. It's not hard sewing the strips together, then cuttng them and sewing the rows. It just takes patience and following my chart.

I tried free hand quilting stars and ropes on Teague's quilt, wow they were wonky! Ripped it all out.  Headed to town today to look for a star template to trace on it and try again.  Hopefully this will work better!

The mermaid block applause is finished and the spy glass is almost finished. That just leaves the pirate block.
The way to get started is to quit talking and start doing.

I've been working on both of my Jan. UFOs. It's slow going, but progress is being made.

That looks complicated, Eli. Is it paper-pieced? Pretty!

Great job on your first Bonnie Hunter block, Wendy!

It is indeed.  The number of different sized pieces would be kind of insane, even for me, lol

Spent some time tonight on piecing the back for the # 11 quilt. Using leftover layer cake and 10 inch blocks from a long ago swap.
