Sharon,

Hang on. The women here are incredible and each and every one will lift you up as you walk this journey. In the past couple of years fighting cancer and now dialysis, I promise you that within every dark night there is a bright star that will lead you through. Stay strong and look toward the dawn.

Sharon. Sending a big hug to a lovely lady. I know how scary eye problems can be. You're in my thoughts and hopes for a positive outcome.

Thank you.  Went to the corneal specialist yesterday and right now he says that I still have to get through the "healing" process.  Says it can take a couple of months before these symptoms improve.  The ulcer is still not totally healed, but is improving.  Scar tissue is adding to the problems I am having.Changed the med I'm using in my eye and will start using a steroid drop along with the antibiotic drop.  Still in a lot of discomfort, difficulty seeing with the right eye, but am using it when I can.  It feels like something is in there all the time, and that drives me crazy.  I can't drive but Fred is taking me wherever I need or want to go.  I am SUPER light sensitive...can't go outside much unless Fred is with me because I get blinded by the light.  Have been doing some easy sewing on little aprons for the girls for Christmas.  I had planned on making some bowl cozies and doing a few leaf table toppers on the embroidery machine for each family, but that's not going to happen.  I haven't done any kind of quilting or any quilt related cutting.  Hopefully after the first of the year I can start thinking about that.  Hoping the steroid drops will help.  Will see my regular eye doc on Jan 4 and will see the specialist again Jan 15.  Maybe 2018 will be the magic year.  Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers.

Thanks for the update Sharon. I feel so bad for what you're going through. Hang in there and I'm confident 2018 will be better for you.

Sure praying for you.  What a discouraging time.  Creating is my therapy and it would be so difficult to deal with sight loss, even temporary.

thank you, Angele3.  My eye is improving, the ulcer is healed, but I have something called filaments on the cornea that are causing a problem.  Seeing the specialist again on the 15th.  I am getting back to sewing.  Perception is still off but it's better than it was.

Wishing you continued healing Sharon.   Take it slow and rest those eyes periodically.
