I like it! Well done Donna! Now I'm wondering about the filler diamonds. Something bright might help.

I suppose the darker background indicates nighttime.  Those are lightening bugs, aren't they?  But you're right that if there aren't some other dark blocks, that one may stand out.

Well I guess it's time to put it all together.

From Pat's website today:

Let's Go Camping Sew Along!

**********JULY is our layout and will be out sometime late on July 2 or on July 3.

So - did she give us the layout - but there will be 3 more blocks coming?

I did a little cut and pasting and might go for this layout-without the next 3 blocks. I like lap quilts - more of a rectangle than square. I calculate it would be about 46" x 65". Mmmm - have to figure out what should go in the center blocks.

Frankie helping me design my quilt. I didn't even realize I used yellow in every block except one. Hmmm.

Finished the top. It is 45" x 62". Just the size I like. This will have to wait for quilting (by me) until the fall. I hope to give it to my son-in-law for Christmas. Thanks Pat Sloan!

Marian, your quilt looks great. I have been saving the instructions and patterns. But the camping fabric I've seen here I have not seen around here. Shop hop is coming up. Maybe I'll have more luck then.

You did a great job. Love it.

Marian, your quilt is delightful!  I have all of the patterns printed and on my cutting table.  This is priority #2 in my room as I strive to clean out my room  I WANT to do these, finish the layout, and USE it!  Sew darned cute.  Love your fabrics.

I am waiting to see what the final blocks are before I choose the fabrics I want for the "camping fabric"...

and to see how #6 melds with the last 3...

and I may want more of the setting blocks...for a different layout

not sure I want a square quilt...guess I need to decide where it will be used
