Another bookworm here... (Guess that's why I grew up to become a children's and then young adult librarian.)

In addition to the popular books listed above, I remember loving "Little Women" and "The Borrowers" series. Oh, and "A Wrinkle in Time!"

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis. Funny - I don't like fantasy too much as an adult.

Same books for me plus the Famous Five, I bet Frances knows about those since it's an English author.

I didn't have a flashlight so I would read at the top of the stairs while my parents were still up downstairs,  then quickly run to bed when I heard them coming!

I still have that book, and the ones that came after too.

I don't really remember reading a whole lot as a child. We did get books for Christmas and Birthdays but they were not a series of books. We lived out on the farm and for many years we never had electricity. I think I was 12 or 13 when we moved into the new farm house and we had electric by this time television was here so reading was not done.
I took up reading once I started working as it was my time and I love to find a quiet spot and read what ever I fancy.

I loved the Trixie Belden series when I was a kid. I was a book worm, and read a lot. What prompted my question this week is that my son is reading Charlotts Web at school. That was one of my very most favorite ones. I always cried though. He really enjoyed the story as well, and I loved that he enjoyed it as much as I did at his age.

Question of the Week

What do you like to put in a side salad?

I love all salads but I like to put in some orange wedges and add a little apple slices, yum
