We are blessed to live in Arizona.  When we lived in Phoenix, needless to say we had our "Back East" relatives visit, OFTEN!  No matter how many times they came, some of them numerous, they wanted to go to G.C.  We never disappointed.  And I must say, I have never gotten tired of seeing it.  You cannot possibly know the beauty from pictures...you have to see the REAL colors of it.  It has been a few years now since we moved to Prescott, and we haven't been as often.  Fred and I were just talking about it and it's time we went again.  The Hualapai Tribe have the Glass Skywalk, and if we go again, I THINK I want to go on that .  Google it and see how beautiful it looks.

Filet mignon seared in cast iron pan with a mushroom/shallot/wine sauce, diced new potatoes in garlic butter, corn, served with a fine malbec.  Even though we are no longer working outside of the home, we still like to prepare nicer meals on weekends.

Well, I just threw a frozen pizza in the oven last night.   Didn't feel like cooking as I was doing other things.   Previous night it was fried chicken breast with gnocchi and a side salad.

Going to our son Scott and DIL's home to have Father's Day dinner.  Babyback ribs on the Traeger grill (always fall off the bone tender), some kind of potato or beans, I made home made rolls and cole slaw (I make a killer dressing), and our DIL, Jaime, makes the most delicious desserts, all from scratch, and I will definitely save room for whatever she makes.

Hope you are all eating well today, no matter what you have and who you enjoy it with.  Happy Father's Day to all the Father's, hubby's and loved ones today.

Sharon, care to share your coleslaw dressing? Love coleslaw!

We had steaks, black eyed peas, and creamed cheesy potatoes tonight. Last night it was too hot to cook so we had sandwiches. Got up to 112 yesterday and woke up with 64 degrees outside. So lovely. Lots of people out early walking the neighborhood.
