Oh my, Yes...I was fortunate years ago to attend Phantom of the Opera in Toronto, the original cast!  I went with a group of my sister in laws and nieces during a family reunion..took a bus from Buffalo NY and saw the opera then spent the rest of the day lunch/shopping.  I would see that again and again.

TPBM has been to Alaska

Nope. And that won't happen unless they can scoot along about 20 feet off the ground.

TPBM, though, isn't afraid of heights and loved climbing trees as a kid.

Loved climbing trees as a kid, but now heights make my hands sweat and my stomach roll and I want to pull people to safety. Lol!

TPBM has a queen- or king-sized bed.

We do have a queen size bed even though I am 5 9 and my husband is 6 4.  Our room is just to small for a King size bed.

TPBM Does not like to paper piece quilt tops

I would love to dance Salsa....Funny story..Fred and I were on Caribbean cruise..We met a lovely young Latin couple who sat at our dining table.  We went to one of the night clubs on board one evening, and it was all Latin music.  This couple also came that night  and joined us at the little table we sat at.   They WERE incredible dancers...did not miss a dance.  Finally, he asked Fred if he could dance with me. Fred said yes because he doesn't like to dance.   I have never done a salsa..or any latin dance.  I was embarassed and he assured me that he would walk/talk me through it.  WELL, OMG, the music started, he was going like a Dancing With the Stars champion.  I could not figure for the life of me what he was doing.  He was talking to me, using his arms to guide me (I'm normally a very good dancer), but the music was fast and I was lost.  Finally, he took his hands, placed them on my hips, and while talking to me and pushing my hips back and forth, we got through the rest of the dance.  I was embarassed, Fred was laughing, and when it was all over, this young man was so sweet and kind, he told Fred, "she did really good!"  He did not ask me to dance another dance.  So, I cannot say I love to dance salsa.  But oh how I wish I could.

TPBM has seen Niagara Falls

I am a perfectionist and I can honestly say I have never nor would I ever use glue to bind a quilt.  I have only recently started sewing a few and I mean a very few baby quilts by machine.  I usually do all the binding by hand.  This could explain why I am so far behind in my binding.  LOL

TPBM Would love to attend a quilt retreat in California??

I love to go different places for retreats, so California, would be fun.  I would love for it to be in, or around, LA -- I want to go to Mood fabrics.  Being a fan of "Project Runway" there stores look like really fun places to explore.

TPBM:

Loves to watch the DIY channel and try out the ideas seen in the programs.

True Story!!! I have always wanted to sky dive, ever since I saw Johnny Carson do it and have it filmed for his show!  Exhiliration!  I was actually working at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix at the time.  One of the baggage handlers had a dad who taught sky diving.  I told him I wanted to sky dive, he asked his dad to give me lessons (I didn't have much $), his dad said yes and I went out one Saturday morning for my first lesson.  He was showing me the parachute, telling me lots of different important things about what we would be doing, I mentioned that my two kids would be thrilled when I told them what I was doing....he said, "You have kids?...How old are they? (at the time they were 4 and 6), are you married (no, divorced)".  Next, he said, "NOT GONNA DO IT!"  Total let down...My heart sank.

So now, long story short, NO I have never sky dived.  But I came THS close!

TPBM watched the Solar Eclipse today (8/21/17)

I started out as a hand quilter, and I hand finished the bindings too. But, about 10 yrs ago, I started having a lot of issues with my hands. Turns out I have fibromyalgia and a nerve issue in my elbow (bent elbow makes my fingers go numb). So I had to learn to quilt on my machine and even finish bindings with my machine too.

TPBM has made a double wedding ring quilt.

Keep a smile in your heart :) Dorian

Not these days, I am an early bird to bed if I am home and not working. I mostly quilt during the day or early evening.

The person below me is going to have something "pumpkin spice" this week.
